WorldNetDaily takes an unbias look at the Men's Rights Movement

Civil rights movement you've never heard of
Advocates for men move into social media, Internet in fight for parity

A burgeoning civil rights movement, focused on eliminating what its members see as broadening social and legal disparities between men and women, is using social media and the Internet to spread its message demanding parity.

Active in North America but also evident in increasingly visible efforts abroad, the Men's Rights Movement (MRM) is fighting proposed and existing legislation its members see as "misandric," while challenging social customs and traditions its activists believe favor women over men.

According to Judith Baer's "Historical and Multicultural Encyclopedia of Women's Reproductive Rights in the United States," the MRM, which Baer calls the Father's Rights Movement (FRM), traces its origins to the early 1960s. She specifically identifies the Internet as the means through which the FRM gained momentum.

"After the World Wide Web took off in the 1990s," she writes, "FRM cites [sic] proliferated on the Internet."

Amid the spread of fathers' and men's rights groups on the Web, the book widely considered to be the foundation of the MRM, Warren Farrell's "The Myth of Male Power," was published in 1994.

"I wrote 'The Myth of Male Power,'" Dr. Farrell explains, "because I came to understand that historically neither sex had real power – both sexes had real obligations, responsibilities, and roles."

He decries what he sees as the "disposable" position of men in contemporary society, citing higher suicide rates, lower life expectancies and other social indicators unfavorable to men. He outlines various legal and financial disadvantages men experience across a broad range of scenarios.

Farrell also draws the tie between the FRM and the MRM as necessarily an outgrowth of those legal and financial issues.

"When men are younger," he told WND, "they are more concerned with the balance between how to fit in and how to be different; when they consider marriage, they are focused on sex until they fall in love. It is only when men encounter failure that we begin a fundamental questioning of our roles. Usually that's if they are a dad and there's a divorce. Then men are shocked to find they have few rights if their rights are challenged by the mom."

The movements for fathers' and men's rights were once firmly, and briefly, associated with drum circles and weekend retreats. Today, however, the MRM comprises members ranging from prominent figures such as Internet radio host Paul Elam of the organization A Voice for Men, to YouTube activists such as Bernard Chapin, to pseudonymous bloggers such as "Angry Harry" and Elam's colleague "John the Other." Using podcasts, social media and their Internet media, these self-described men's rights activists take advantage of the immediacy and interactivity offered by today's technology to spread their message.

That message encompasses a wide variety of issues considered touchstones of the MRM, including inequity in the family court system, a lack of social support services for men, the decline of college enrollment among men versus women, and legislation like the Violence Against Women Act, which activists believe emphasizes violence against women at the expense of ignoring or marginalizing violence against men.

While "gender feminism" is frequently blamed as the root cause of these problems, few issues within the MRM inspire as much vocal outcry as false allegations of sexual assault.

"We have men literally going to prison and having their lives destroyed, their reputations... all over finger pointing," Elam says. "This is a huge problem across the movement."

Elam and his fellow activists have fought back by creating their own website, "Register Her," which purports to be a public database of false accusers, violent female offenders and even public figures who have advocated against men.

One of Elam's more prominent targets among the latter is Mary Kellett, an assistant district attorney in Maine, whom the site calls a "corrupt public official" who "has distinguished herself by prosecuting numerous cases of rape and domestic violence against men within her community based on no evidence."

Calls for comment to Kellett's office were not returned.

The MRM has its own vocabulary and catchphrases. Paul Elam and listeners to his Internet radio show frequently speak of "taking the red pill," a reference to the film "The Matrix." Men motivated by self-destructive chivalry are "White Knights," while the acronyms MGTOW and NAWALT signify "Men Going Their Own Way" and "Not All Women Are Like That."

Activism over men's rights has gone global, with visible men's rights groups active in Australia, the U.K. and other Western nations. In Japan, a growing "herbivore" movement comprises Japanese men opting out of traditional social roles while expressing little or no interest in women or sex.

The movement for men's rights is not limited to men, either. One prominent activist is Dr. Tara Palmatier, a clinical psychologist and counselor who runs the website Shrink4Men.

"I was and am personally very concerned by the double standard our culture and the field of psychology practices when it comes to female perpetrated abuse and criminality," Palmatier says. "As a society, we need to disabuse ourselves of the penurious notion that all women are victims and all men are aggressors. This is a simplistic lie with serious implications."

Elam echoes Palmatier's sentiments while insisting that activism for men's rights is not denigration of women.

"It's not dismissing women's issues to say, 'Wait a minute, no, we're going to talk about men right now,'" he says.

Elam is also frank when asked what he hopes to achieve with his activism.

"The end goal is admittedly ambiguous. From a social standpoint ... the whole idea is to try to restore some sort of sanity between men and women [so that] we can repair some of the widespread gulf that's created between the two in this culture."

YouTube activist Chapin is quick to describe that gulf.

"I'm a devil four times over," he says. "I'm white, I'm male, I'm a Christian and I'm a patriot."

What he wants, and what he hopes to achieve as a men's rights activist, is even more direct.

"Stop lying about me," he demands, "and stop lying about males in general."

A piece on MRA's and the MRM that wasn't a smear job looks like we've come a long way. You've come a long way, buddy. This shows that the activism is paying off. When we get our message out there to allies and neutrals we can accomplish a lot. Keep this article in mind the next time you send out email promoting the MRM yes we are making a difference. Also keep in mind that all of us helped get an article like this one written so give yourselves a pat on the back for that.

Spearhead smears real activists

I was at the Spearhead reading an article entitled: Something is in the air,it started out well but then went downhill but the following is completely out of line:

Although I understand that Razz might put his job at risk if he revealed his identity, he’s doing so anyway. If he’s discovered, after all, then the effect will be the same. And because he won’t own up to his campaign, people will be under the impression that he knows he’s doing something wrong. It would be better, I think, to face the chief of police and ask whether men are any more likely to rape women than women are to lie to authorities. But to get back on subject, it does seem that there truly is a growing national interest in “MRA” or men’s issues. Maybe the work I and others have put in is starting to pay off. The activism some are engaging in might be catching people’s attention.

It's catching on because those of us who actually do activism are the ones making those in office and society in general know about our concerns and that our concerns are valid. Without us you guys would be were you were in the '90's. I couldn't believe Price has the audacity to ride on our coattails. If Price were a fellow activist I would have no problem with his article but he's not. If he were he would have published this but he didn't. If he claims it was similair to Auntie Pheminizem's comment and that is why then why did not publish it then why did Auntie Pheminizem receive some many thumbs down if he were off base? If Auntie Pheminizem were wrong then why no rebuttals? Bitching on a blog alone accomplishes nothing.

Razz, like myself, would face persecution if we revealed our true identities. Feminists have vowed to shut me up anyway they can. I'm not going to make it easy for them. Canada murdered Earl Silverman so I can imagine Razz doesn't want to be next. Also MRA's have face active persecution in Canada. Some have been jailed. Not only that but Canadian feminists are exceptionally psycho. We've seen the videos on A Voice For Men we know they are true.

In fact I even asked them what activism have they engaged in. Not only was the question not answered all I got was 14 thumbs down votes. There are talkers and there are doers and I'm a doer is getting tired of these talkers. Real tired of them.

Kellett brought up on disciplinary charges

Maine Bar Council recommends discipline for ADA Mary Kellett

Robert O'Hara
FEATURED, NEWS UPDATES

(AVFM News) Washington D.C. Apr. 13, 2012 – Fathers and Families, a popular men and fathers rights group engaged in activism involving primarily the rights of fathers, reported on their website yesterday that Assistant District Attorney Mary Kellett of the Seventh Prosecutorial District of Maine was recommended for discipline by the Bar Council on April 6th. Bar Council J. Scott Davis handed down the recommendation which could result in anything from Kellett to getting disbarred to a criminal investigation.

Criminal,we definitely want criminal charges so let's roast her ovaries. If you are wondering why I'm taking this attitude I refer you to this.

It is unclear whether or not Maine has a provision for an independent prosecutor at this time as that would be the best way to secure criminal charges against Kellett. “Obviously, the District Attorney of Ellsworth likely won’t prosecute one of his/her own lawyers, but, if there’s an independent prosecutor statute, someone else can. They can and should.” Wrote Robert Franklin in his article on the Fathers and Families website.

Mary Kellett has been the target of activism from many different quarters including S.A.V.E., A Voice for Men, Fathers and Families and Antimisandry.com, who all participated in a petition signing drive to have her disbarred for the wrongful prosecution of Vladek Filler, a man falsely accused of rape by his unstable wife Ligia during a custody dispute. Kellett has been criticized heavily for disregarding the due rights of those accused of sexual assault crimes in her district and has a known record of convicting men who were strongly suspected of being innocent.

Among the abuses cited by the Bar Council are Kellett’s refusal to hand over evidence to Fillers attorney, Daniel Pileggi, the nature of which was extremely exculpatory. Pileggi eventually had to get the court to produce the evidence for him because of Kellett’s refusal to cooperate in a lawful manner.

Franklin calls upon others who have suffered at the hands of Kellett to file a grievance with the Bar Council.. AVFM News will be closely covering any developments.

A Voice For Men

It looks like all that activism paid off. When I saw that video that featured everyone from the governor to the legislature to everyone on down jump aboard the feminist bandwagon I had pretty much had given up any hope on men getting a fair break in Maine but hopefully that may not be the case. Let's see if justice prevails.

What wasn't published on the Spearhead

I wrote the following on the Spearhead but it wasn't published so I'll publish it here:

What are men doing to change their situation? Sitting in front of the TV watching sports solves nothing just like bitching on a message board does nothing. Political activism is where it's at. Political activism is what got 22 U.S. Senators to oppose VAWA. One of those who voted against VAWA used to support it (Senator Orinn Hatch R-Utah). We can either cry about our burden or do something to change it. I've seen a lot of campaigns where statists were defeated: SOPA and CISPA to name a couple. Conservative groups got Congress to investigate the IRS. There is no reason we can't do the same but we must act together. It is that simple. You critisize the white knights and manginas for being silent about female atrocities but if you are not an activist then you are no better than those you critisize. I don't want to hear "it can't be done" or "the illuminati won't allow it" that is defeatist crap. That is something your enemies will tell you so you don't oppose them. Are you going to listen to them? I'm not. It's real simple: do something about it or shut up.

Auntie Pheminizm said the same thing previously but I wasn't aware of his post when I wrote this. He is saying the same thing I am and I know political activism works. It works it you care enough to change your situation.

Vladek Filler freed;boycott suspended

From A Voice For Men:

While few details are in, AVfM has just been advised that Vladek Filler is out of jail and has returned home to be with his two children and the rest of his family. We will post an update with more details when more information is available.

Source:click here

Also there is this:

Tonight on AVFM News and Activism we will dedicate the guest portion of our show to covering current developments in the Vladek Filler case. Joining us will be Paul Elam and John the Other to talk about the abhorrent legal maneuverings of J. Scott Davis and what can only be described as an all encompassing ring of corruption in the family law justice system in the state of Maine. Now, more than ever, aggressive activism is needed to expose and put to an end the destructive reign of Mary Kellett and the band of cronies that make up the press and legal establishment in that state.

Please call in and voice your support for this effort and share your thoughts.

The show airs live on November 6trh, at 8:00 Central Time, US, which is 2:00 a.m. November 7th in London and 11:00 a.m. November 7th in Brisbane. If you have not yet requested membership in the Stickcam Room, you can do so through the link below.

Great news Vladek Filler has been freed. I guess we can ease up on the boycott as long as there is no further persecution of Vladek Filler. As long as he is allowed to hold public officials who abuse the offices they hold accountable and not be persecuted for doing so. So as long as Vladek Filler is allowed to testify and leave Maine unfettered then there is no problem. If the games against Vladek Filler continue I will reinstate the boycott but until then enjoy some Maine lobster.

Dr. Phil wants male victims of domestic violence to lose

This was posted in my comments section but is so very important it needs front page attention. Here it is:

Action alert!

Dr. Phil will be at tomorrow's VAWA hearing... What about you?
Submitted by Matt on Tue, 2011-07-12 22:58.
From SAVE via email:

Cue lights and cascading drum roll...SAVE has now released the Partner Violence Reduction Act (PVRA): click here

After years of discussion and debate, it's now a reality...the Partner Violence Reduction Act will amend the Violence Against Women Act so all victims are served, false accusations stop, and the discrimination comes to an end.

And as luck would have it, the Senate Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13, beginning at 10am Eastern time, about the Violence Against Women Act.

One of the featured witnesses will be -- you guessed it -- Dr. Phil of Oprah Winfrey fame! You can watch the live Webcast here

The Committee is inviting testimony from all concerned individuals...including you! So today we're asking you to submit your testimony. Share your DV horror story, say something nice about the PVRA, whatever. We ask that you say it politely, preferably in one page or less.

Address your testimony to Sen. Patrick Leahy, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and email it to Anya McMurray@Anya_McMurray-at-Judiciary-dem.senate.gov. They need to receive your statement no later than Wednesday, July 20. Send a cc to me at tstoddard-at-saveservices.org if you would like us to consider posting your testimony on the SAVE website.

And, be sure to sign our Partner Violence Reduction Act petition

Game on!

teri

P.S. When you watch the Webcast, look for the persons wearing T-shirts saying, "I was FALSELY ACCUSED of Domestic Violence." Wonder who that could be??

Impeach Judge Lori B. Jackson

Judge Lori B. Jackson seeks to gag AVfM by Paul Elam:

As many of you who follow this site are aware, Lt. Col. Joel Kirk and his two minor children have been going through an unjust ordeal at the hands of the West Virginia Family Court presided over by Judge Lori B. Jackson.

In several articles published here, we have presented documentation of the abuse of those two children at the hands of their mother, Tina Taylor Kirk. We have also provided proof, through court documentation, that despite their mistreatment by a mentally unstable, alcoholic mother, that Jackson reversed a previous judge’s ruling giving custody to their father, and instead issued an order that effectively gave full custody to their abuser. Simultaneously, Jackson issued a gag order on the video documentation of the children’s abuse in order to keep it from public view.

It has been through the activism of AVfM’s Judicial Accountability Committee (JAC), that the audio portion of that evidence, as well as all relevant court documents, have been made available to the public through the avoiceformen.com website.

In what we believe is an effort to reverse that activism, and censor free speech, an injunction was filed today with the intent of enjoining both Lt. Col. Kirk and avoiceformen.com from publishing any more references to the Kirk children, and compelling avoiceformen.com to remove materials already present on the site.

Download Injunction

The injunction was filed by Attorney Mary Snead, Guardian Ad Litem for the Kirk children in the divorce case.

At this point we can only speculate why Snead, who was the one who originally documented the ongoing abuse of the Kirk children by their mother, is now seeking to have that report gagged from public view.

Well, actually we can do a little more than speculate given the following actions by Judge Jackson.

In a stunning move, Jackson issued an order that Joel Kirk appear in her court this Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 9 A.M., effectively giving him two days to secure council to represent him there. We happen to know that Judge Jackson is aware that Lt. Col. Kirk’s lawyer lives more than a two-hour drive from her court, and that the possibility of getting him there on such short notice would be near impossible. She also knows that there are few to no attorneys in Kirk’s immediate area suitable to represent him in this matter.

In fact, she tips her hand and demonstrates this awareness in a handwritten note to Snead on the order, informing her that Kirk would be in court representing himself. She decided, before the hearing was even scheduled, that Kirk would stand before her without legal representation.

In other words, she is railroading Kirk into her court without representation so she can use the full authority of her position, unimpeded, to extract revenge against him for going public with his case.

Download Order

Similarly, Jackson also wants to intimidate AVfM into cowering and surrendering our rights to free speech, as well as freedom of the press.

We have no intention of allowing that to happen.

One thing appears abundantly clear. From a personal standpoint I will tell you, readers, that I no more believe that Mary Snead was the actual source of filing this injunction than bricks float. It is evident, in the power play of local politics, that Mary Sneed has been cornered and is now protecting her standing in her own peer group. I fully believe she acted under the direction of Judge Jackson, selling out the children she once tried to protect as Guardian Ad Litem, in order to comply with Jackson’s wish to erase the public record of her malfeasance.

Dr. Tara Palmatier, who has done much research and writing on this story, had this to say:

Ms. Snead claims that publicizing this case is hurting the children. This is absurd. Snead (or Judge Jackson using Snead as her mouthpiece) is asserting that reporting the truth of the children’s abuse by their mother is harming them, while neglecting the fact that what is most harmful to the children is their continued abuse by their mother. The logic is completely backwards.

The Kirk children already know the truth about their mother. They are being forced by Judge Jackson to live with their abuser every other week and full-time when their father is deployed. The truth is not hurting the children. Having to live with their abuser after telling Ms. Snead, their therapist and other evaluators the truth about being abused by her is what is hurting the children. Judge Jackson’s malfeasance, incompetence and abuse of power are also hurting the Kirk children.

The only people being hurt by reporting the truth about this case are Judge Lori B. Jackson, Tina Taylor Kirk and her attorneys, Thomas G. Smith and Jamison Cooper. It wouldn’t be the first time corrupt family court officials tried to silence the truth and protect themselves by dressing it up in “the best interests of the children.”

If Judge Jackson truly cared about the welfare of these kids, she would not have given any custody beyond supervised visitation to their abuser. It is also very telling that Judge Jackson completely disregarded Ms. Snead’s original incredibly damning report that full custody be awarded to the children’s father, yet has made the time to haul the Lt. Col. into her courtroom in less than 48 hours at Ms. Snead’s recommendation that the truth of Judge Jackson’s rulings be suppressed. Very telling indeed.

As we have from the beginning, AVfM and the JAC will stand behind Lt. Col Kirk and his children. We have not been served any legal notice in accordance with due process and are currently under no obligation to remove or amend any material on this website.

If we do face any legal actions designed to censor our Constitutional right to free speech, we will fight it vigorously. We do not believe that a family court in West Virginia has the injunctive authority to censor a website in Texas for publishing properly redacted court documents even if it attempts to do so under the disingenuous guise of protecting children. Nor do we believe that any laws that may give them that authority are Constitutional.

This is a very important fight. The purpose of AVfM and the JAC is expose corruption and bias in our family courts. If that corruption is allowed to be cloaked from the public view, under the false auspices of protecting children those courts are actually harming, the battle could be lost.

We will provide more information and court documents as they become available.

To all websites and bloggers. AVfM extends blanket permission to reprint all articles on this site associated with the Kirk story and to download and distribute all the supportive documentation. No need to ask. Just proceed with our thanks, and the knowledge that the truth about our family courts cannot be hidden from the public any more. Also, the AVfM petition call for an impeachment hearing regarding Judge Jackson’s conduct is nearing the 1,000 signature goal. There was never a more important time to sign if you have not already done so.

If you have signed, please post the petition to your facebook and other social networking pages, to your blogs and websites. There should be many thousands of signatures on this petition, and there will be if enough people of good conscience get involved.

If this petition gets rid of a misandric jurist then I'm all in favor of signing it. If it gets a man back his kids and some justice then it is worth it to sign. Let's let the feminists and their ilk run from the light of day like the slugs they are. Expose them for the vermin they are.

Congress is pulling a fast one

I received the following from Demand Progress:

Some annoying news: As was widely reported last Friday, all indications were that the House Judiciary Committee would delay its vote on SOPA for a few weeks. Now it looks like they might vote this week, if Congress stays in session:

PCMAG: "SOPA vote might happen this week after all"

ACTIVIST POST: "Congress tries to pull a fast one"

You've all been amazing as we've worked to spread word about SOPA, convinced more and more lawmakers to oppose it, and dragged out the hearing for a week -- that's pretty much unheard of.

But we need to ask you to pick up the phone once more:

Will you call Speaker of the House John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor and ask them to reign in Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith?

Speaker John Boehner: (202) 225-6205 (Email Contact)

Majority Leader Eric Cantor: (202) 225-2815 (Email Contact)

Please be polite, but firm. You can work off of this script:

I'm calling because Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith is pushing the Stop Online Piracy Act even though it will kill jobs, undermine cybersecurity, stifle free speech, and give comfort to totalitarian regimes that want to censor the Internet. And they're doing it all to prop up a few Hollywood bigwigs.

His hearings are turning into a circus that's embarrassing for our country and for the House of Representatives. Please ask him to back down and hold real hearings on this legislation before rushing it through his committee.

These powerful leaders control what will be voted on by the full House, and we need to put them on notice.

And you can use these links to ask your friends to join the effort and email and call their lawmakers about the Internet censorship bills, or just ask them to visit StopCensorship.org.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance and when needed activism. We'll we need the activism part right now so call and/or send email to the above to rein in Lamar Smith and his evil quest to censor the net.

UPDATE:

Received the following from Damand Progress:

That was close -- after threatening to hold a vote this week, the House Judiciary Committee just cancelled tomorrow's hearing on SOPA!

WASHINGTON POST: The House Judiciary Committee confirmed Tuesday that it will delay continuing debate on the Stop Online Piracy Act until after Congress returns from its winter recess.

In January of one year ago it looked like Internet censorship legislation could pass in a matter of months. But then Demand Progress members stepped in: We've pushed the legislation back a full year, and now it's on the ropes.

Demand Progress is doing everything in our power to make sure that our members' voices are heard in the halls of power.

We've organized press conferences on Capitol Hill, hosted policy briefings. We've delivered countless petitions to Congress, and met with the White House as they consider whether to oppose SOPA and its Senate cousin, the PROTECT IP Act.

We've repeatedly been slammed by the Chamber of Commerce, the Motion Picture Assocaition of America, and other censorship proponents -- proving the importance of our work and the righteousness of our cause.

Most importantly, we've driven hundreds of thousands of constituent contacts to Congress -- And helped lead an unprecedented coalition of activist groups, websites, and tech firms which together have helped more than 3 million people send anti-censorship emails and make anti-censorship phone calls to Congress and the White House.

But the fight isn't over yet: The Senate is still threatening to hold a vote in January, and we need to make sure we're in a position to keep pushing back. We've proved that our voices make a real difference, but we can't afford to let up one bit.

Thanks so so much,

The Demand Progress team

PS: We know we've been sending a ton of emails over the last few weeks -- we promise it'll calm down a bit over the next couple of weeks, now that the most immediate threat is behind us.

No problem because as I have said before the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. I'd rather do this than have someone else decide what I can and cannot view or listen too. Maybe as a child I had others make my decisions for me but as an adult I'll be damned if I'll let that happen.

Good news about Audit the Fed

From Campaign For Liberty:

We are winning!

And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

This morning, Audit the Fed unanimously passed the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee by voice vote!

Only a few short years ago, just the thought of getting a committee hearing on such an issue was considered a long shot at best, let alone achieving such a remarkable victory!

But that was because the Washington establishment and the banking elite underestimated the power of true grassroots activism.

Today’s win is a direct result of hundreds of thousands of petitions, phone calls, faxes, and emails generated by passionate C4L activists like you around the country.

One congressman noted he had been contacted by “scores of constituents” supporting Audit the Fed.

As an example of why I’ve written in previous emails that nothing can be taken for granted, at one point this morning, Rep. Elijah Cummings (MD-7) introduced an amendment that, like the Watt amendment to H.R. 1207 in the 111th Congress, would have gutted Audit the Fed.

But your pressure helped keep it from succeeding!

In fact, it was truly astonishing just how quickly Representative Cummings withdrew the amendment after it became clear there was no support for it in the Committee - even from members of his own party.

Over the last four years, you’ve helped C4L make tremendous strides in bringing the Federal Reserve to the forefront of political debate and pushing the central bank toward transparency.

Of course, ultimately, America shouldn’t even have a Federal Reserve System to create moral hazard, keep interest rates artificially low, bail out friends and favored firms, and manipulate our monetary supply.

Today’s committee hearing was just one small step toward passing Audit the Fed, but also, one giant leap toward ending it.

Now, with a floor vote before the entire U.S. House in July fast approaching, I hope you’ll stand with us again as we look to jump another hurdle and carry this bill into the Senate.

Our chances have never been better.

Thank you for helping make it possible for a strong, full audit of the Federal Reserve to pass a House Committee.

Now on to victory in the House!

In Liberty,

Matt Hawes
Vice President

P.S. This morning, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee unanimously passed Audit the Fed by voice vote.

This is a direct result of your efforts and those of hundreds of thousands of other activists across the country.

Now is the time to double-down and ensure the House passes a clean version of Audit the Fed this July.

This is indeed good news as it illustrates how activism will work in getting things to our advantage. Let's stand by Audit the Fed and see it not only pass both houses but for it to also be signed into law by the president.

On changes

There aren't going to be any. In fact I would love to double the activism and quarter the misandry. Those are the only changes I see worth being made. Let the questions begin.

Masc, there are women who read this blog. Shouldn't you take their sensetivities into consideration?

No,they came to my board,my area I didn't go to theirs. I'm not toning a fucking thing down for anyone. The problem is that some "MRA's?" tone it down, diluting the message and the message is dismissed. I'm not going to let that happen. Too many times guys get sweet talked by women into toning down the message until it is no longer effective. Irlandes warned us of this and he is right. I've seen the problem and I don't want to be part of it.

If changes were beneficial to the movement would you make them?

Yes,I would. I think that Register Her at A Voice For Men is a great idea and I would like it to be activated and updated. It was a very powerful tool against the feminists and they feared it. If I ran A Voice for Men it would up,running and kept up to date.

Where is the movement right now?

We're at a crossroads. We've come a long way and we need to use what works. I've always found that political activism works. If you help pass laws that benefit you and help defeat those that hurt you you live a lot better. That is what the feminists did. There is no reason we can't do the same.

what's a hinderance to men?

Rugged individualism especially the individual part. We need to work as a team or we will be defeated. That is the way it is.

Donations

We've started taking donations so if you read something here and it saved you from making a bad decision and you want to make a financial contribution then feel free to do so. I've tried to make activism easy and effective by bringing the scattered information needed into a single post. The online presence of men's rights education is an on-going priority . Not only that but the correspondence with elected officials to get our concerns brought before their attention and keeping an eye for out legislation-pro-male or misandric. The lobbying I do to elected officials and others of influence. I'm sticking my neck out while a few of you don't. That's fine, if it would be unwise financially to stick you neck out then perhaps you can help out those of us that do and if making a financial contribution is easier then there is no problem doing just that. Feminists have tax-payer money behind them and a Jezebel editor bragged about how they got Salon to kill the story exposing Dominique Strauss-Kahn's accuser and Salon gave in. Do you like feminist organizations getting your tax money and deciding what news you can read? If no then help me. If you're a fellow MRA then I'm the one with your best interests in mind. I'm the one who wants to restore our rights and I'm the one who wants to restore our dignity. Remember who's going to bat for you and if you could send some money this way then that will go a long way to advancing the cause. Thank you.

Visit Mancouver,British Columbia

From John The Other:

The federal govt of Canada, and the provincial govt of British Columbia: Officially re-name the city of Vancouver, B.C. to Mancouver, B.C.

by Jack Handbreak
Vancouver, Canada

As many people are already aware, on the weekend of September 29 and 30th, Vancouver's men's rights activist group, that's VancouverMRA will be holding a two day men's rights summit – a very small summit, circus and side show somewhere on the streets of Vancouver, and this glorious event the first ever of its kind, and the first annual Man-cover circus and side show.

It is true that Vancouver MRA is not the only boots on the ground men's rights organization in Canada, not by a long stretch. There is also Men's Rights Edmonton, and Men's rights Hamilton organizations doing excellent ground breaking work. The Edmonton group now so effective that an oppositional organization has been formed to thwart them.

However, the city of Vancouver is where we do our human rights activism – and where Vancouver MRA was formed – and continues to operate, Vancouver is the city on Canada's left coast where an awful lot of action is happening in the men's rights movement. For newcomers, that's the human rights movement focusing of the social, legal and economic human rights issues affecting men and boys.

So, in addition to the first annual Man-couver western Canadian men's rights summit, circus and side show – we're going to do something more. And you can help, even if you’re not in this fine city.

In recognition of the ground breaking work done in Canada, and done in Vancouver on behalf of the humanity and the human rights of men and boys, we will be petitioning the office of the mayor, the office of the premier of BC – that's Christy Clark, who now has regular breakfast meetings of the senior members of BC's provincial government in which men are barred from entry and ejected from the premises right down to the serving staff – and we will be petitioning the office of the Prime Minister of this country – my home and yours, Canada – to officially re-name the city in which this human rights work is being pursued, to the appropriate name reflecting this great work. Going forward, let nobody refer again to the obsolete nomenclature of a previous era, and from today onwards let this city be recognized by it's true name – Mancouver.

Not only that,JTO but today we are all MRA's. Sure I've had my differences with Elam but when it comes down to it I'm an MRA and the cause comes first. If any feminists out there are getting any "divide and conquer" ideas inside their twisted minds I want you to know one thing: I will shake hands with Paul Elam long before I ever shake hands with you. Never forget that. Anyway, sign this puppy to create Mancouver,British Columbia.

Bad news on Kellett situation

Breaking news: Mary Kellett free to practice law
by Robert O'Hara

(Washington D.C. July 15th, 2013)

Justice Ellen Gorman has allowed corrupt Assistant District Attorney walk with a slap on the wrist.

Just after 10:00am today the disciplinary hearing for Mary Kellett, Assistant District Attorney for Maine’s 7th prosecutorial district, was held in Portland concerning her mishandling of the Vladek Filler case. For those new to the case, Ligia Filler falsely accused her husband Vladek Filler of domestic violence and spousal rape. Kellett in her role as Assistant District attorney withheld exculpatory evidence and made misleading statements to the jury in her closing remarks, leading to Vladek Filler’s conviction. The hearing was brief and followed a closed door meeting involving Kellett’s attorneys and representatives from the Overseers of the Bar. A plea bargain was submitted to Justice Ellen Gorman, presiding, who suspended Kellett and then promptly suspended her suspension resulting in Kellett facing no consequences for her gross misconduct during the Filler trial. She is still free to practice law and still acting as Assistant DA.

Kellett made a statement of apology before the judgment was handed down saying that she “went too far” and that it “wouldn’t happen again.” After her apology Filler was given fifteen minutes to speak. AVFM’s acting correpsondants said he was very emotional when he spoke as he told the court how Kellett’s actions have permanently damaged his life and that of his children’s. After the judgment was handed down Kellett exited through a back door leaving our correspondents and reporters from other news sources including Channel 2 News WLBZ from Bangor with no comment.

Acting AVfM Correspondents Scott Soly, Sean Campbell and Chris Caldwell conducted a video interview with Vladek Filler. This will be available later this evening along with other details.

Editorial note:
The entire staff at AVFM and many others to numerous to mention here extend their thanks to Scott Soly, Sean Campbell and Chris Caldwell who all heard the call to attend this hearing. These men did this on their own time and this was the very first time all of them had engaged in any activism of this kind. By each of them taking initiative they have sent a message that we are all watching. Please join us in thanking them in the comments below.

That is fucking bullshit. What a fucking whitewash. The people of the State of Maine, especially the men,are screwed. What we have here is women protecting women. The sisterhood comes first. The men of Maine? Not among the top 10 concerns of the sisterhood. This is a sad day for the men of Maine, they're lives can be reduced to shambles if rouge prosecutors like Kellett can get away and apparently they can and not have to worry about any accountability. Now Kellett is more dangerous than before because she is protected.

Boycott Wikipedia

Kevin Gorman

Wikipedia campus ambassadors

Recently Wikipedia started deleting articles that were favorable to men or they misrepresented them. The dedication to Thomas Ball is gone along with other pages that were favorable to men's rights. The men's rights page has been altered to make MRA's the bad guys and to further the idea of female victim hood. In fact A Voice For Men discusses this in a couple of places.

This requires a bit of context, which I’ll establish as quickly as I can. You’ve just comprehensively re-written wikipedia’s entry on Men’s Rights. The page, formerly provided a reasonable summary of issues of concern with a movement called “the men’s rights movement.”

Now, after a thorough rewrite, the wikipedia entry under the heading “Men’s Rights,” characterizes the phrase to refer to collective privilege afforded to men throughout history. Essentially you’ve provided the definition of “male privilege” as it is presented in the context of Patriarchy Theory (PT).

PT, by the way, is one of the ideological tenets of Radical Feminism, thus the Men’s Rights wikipedia page, formerly addressing a movement called “the mens rights movement” is now a reference page for an item of mainstream feminist doctrine. The rewrite was skillful, certainly – and appears to have taken considerable work. Just look at all those links to feminist advocate research.

Here’s my question. or yours, actually. If you find yourself rewriting reference material to obscure and minimize the topic of that reference material; in fact censoring that topic, to create a public impression that it does not exist – do you recognize your own action as censorship? Taking that question further – do you recognize that the urge to silence opinions other than your own is a totalitarian urge?

And

In a sudden and sweeping change of the Wikipedia page on Men’s Rights, references to the myriad of issues and efforts highlighted over the past forty years of pro-male activism have been replaced with the standard litany of feminist dogma about male privilege and patriarchy. They start the page (just below the notice challenging its neutrality) with a simple definition: Men’s rights are the entitlements and freedoms claimed by boys and men.

That is followed up by a list of historical and other items that point to male privilege and hegemony, as well as female oppression. Further down the line, below the remainder of the misdirecting clutter (and past where most people will actually read), there is cursory mention of some elements of the MRM, pointing to NCFM and ACFC. This is where they make their first and only mention of men’s rights activists. It’s placed just below a sub-header addressing the male dominant laws in Pakistan.

There are other, very minor references to legitimate men’s rights issues, but they are all literally buried in a deluge of pro-feminist perspective that was added to the page in one fell swoop sometime in the last few days.

The intent here is transparent. The Wikipedia page on men’s rights has been rewritten, in deliberate and premeditated fashion, in order to turn it into a tool that will lead readers to conflate the men’s rights movement with an agenda of domination and control over women. Actually, the page has not been so much rewritten, as it has been reengineered, to turn it from an information source into an instrument of disinformation and deception. None of this was done accidentally, as anyone who has ever read the previous incarnation of that page can clearly see.

This lead to a WTF moment. Why is wikipedia taking this attitude? Who is making the decisions to delete the sections on men's rights?

We believe we may have the answer. This may explain what happened:

Campus Ambassador program tackles gender gap
Thursday, March 31st, 2011

A key piece of Wikimedia’s strategic plan is to close the gender gap by encouraging more women to participate in projects. One area where we already see progress is the Wikipedia Ambassadors program, developed in conjunction with the Public Policy Initiative. During the 2010-11 academic year, university students across the United States are writing Wikipedia articles as part of their coursework, and they learn the Wikipedia basics from trained Campus Ambassadors who come into the classroom to teach students how to start contributing.

These Campus Ambassadors are the first face of the Wikimedia movement that most students have seen, and 27 of the 59 Campus Ambassadors this term (that’s 46%) are women. At Indiana University Bloomington, for example, six Campus Ambassadors assist three classes of students — and five of them are women.

“I think I am putting a face on Wikipedia instead of it just being a web site that people use,” says Chanitra Bishop, a librarian at IU and one of the five female Campus Ambassadors there. “Hopefully, if students and professors have thought about becoming involved, they will see that they can and that they have unique knowledge to contribute.” Likewise, Indiana Library and Information Science master’s student Beth Brockman was drawn to becoming a Campus Ambassador because of her desire to make Wikipedia a better resource for anyone to use, but she thinks seeing women teaching about Wikipedia in university classrooms can be an inspiration to the female students in the class.

Chanitra’s and Beth’s views are echoed across their cohort. They don’t focus on being role models for female students. Instead, they try to ease all students into the joys of editing Wikipedia — and closing the gender gap is a nice side effect of their work.

“I would hope that I am providing a model for any new editor, not just women, and I would hope that I am contributing to making Wikipedia a professional and respectful environment,” says Adrianne Wadewitz, a longtime Wikipedian. “Being a Campus Ambassador allows me to join together two things about which I’m passionate: Wikipedia and teaching. It allows me to show professors how useful Wikipedia can be as a teaching tool and it allows me to learn, in turn, from students and other teachers about a variety of subject matters and techniques for communicating.”

Campus Ambassadors were trained in five regions across the United States in January, including a training in Indianapolis, pictured here.

Ellie Dahlgren is a staff member at the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning at Indiana, and she agrees with Adrianne that her primary focus as a Campus Ambassador is on what the students get out of the Wikipedia assignment.

“I like challenging instructors to think about teaching and learning in different ways,” Ellie says. “I like being part of a team that creates unique and practical (i.e., real-world) experiences for students.”

And it’s not just Campus Ambassadors closing the gender gap. More than half of the 600 students contributing to Wikipedia through the Public Policy Initiative this term are women. Two classes feature an all-women roster: women’s college Simmons’ “Public Relations Seminar” and Georgetown University’s “Women and Human Rights.”

Brenda Burk is a librarian at nearby Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), and she travels to Bloomington to assist in the classrooms there. Becoming a Campus Ambassador has given Brenda a new way to connect with students, she says. Brenda says the principles librarians support — understanding resources, determining source reliability, and verifiability — complement Wikipedia well. And she’s particularly excited to see the students in her class continue contributing to such an important resource.

“Seeing me use Wikipedia and edit encourages them to jump in,” Brenda says of her students. “In the class, the women are a bit more cautious starting to edit and create articles. Once they start and become comfortable in this environment they get excited about it. Hopefully the enthusiasm continues.”

Sounds like the editors of wikipedia are man-hating dykes or self-hating dweebs. So wikipedia is now being edited by people who have never lived in the real world. Never had to pay their own rent, buy their own groceries or pay their own bills because they have mommy and daddy to do that for them. Let's show these dykes and dweebs what happens when you fuck with men. The organization that pays the bills for wikipedia is wikimedia. This link will take you to their "benefactors" page. Let's tell these benefactors what kind of operation wikipedia is running and ask them if they support bigotry because that is exactly what they are doing when they support wikipedia. Wikimedia is a 501c nonprofit so let's see if we can fuck with wikimedia's 501c status. How can we do that? We can contact our elected leaders (see "men's resources"),both houses and ask them if a 501c nonprofit can engage in sexist practices. If they can't then they should be called on it. Also there is Wiki which may be the parent company of wikipedia so we should email them about our disgust toward wikipedia and the practices they are engaged in. The more of us that write in the better so write in today.

a couple of things-part 2

Remember emailing Bangor Daily News reporter Bill Trotter, telling him about the Vladek Filler case in which rogue prosecutor Mary N. Kellett tried to railroad the accused and asking him to look into it? Well he did and it is here. Thanks to our efforts we have the media looking into Kellett and now more people are becoming aware of her deplorable actions. You guys did good and take this moment to give yourselves a pat on the back. The united actions of MRA's are having an effect. Don't let anyone talk you out of men's rights activism because we are on the right track.

Second issue is there is censorship on America speaking out. America speaking out is a site funded by TAXPAYER DOLLARS and authorized by the Speaker of the House. I have emailled the admin for this site and received no reply so the Speaker of the House,John Boehner, was contacted regarding this. The problem is that America speaking out is censoring while being a government agency and that goes against the First Amendment stating Congress cannot abolish free speech. We should contact the Speaker and tell him what they are doing. When selecting issue select "ethics". The more of us he hears from the better so email him today.

Feminist oppression of children

We fear Carina Kolodny’s children, and so should your sons

January 10, 2014 By John Hembling (JtO)

I fear Carina Kolodny’s children, and so should you.

Why, you may wonder, should you fear them, and for that matter, who on Earth is Carina Kolodny?

According to her byline at the Huffington Post, she’s a writer, media activist, and sex educator. Apparently, she also holds a Masters in Social Media & Social Change. In other words, she’s a professional Social Justice Warrior (SJW). For some readers, that may seem like a positive appellation.

For clarity this is an individual who repeatedly engages in arguments on “social justice,” often in a shallow or poorly reasoned way, for the purpose of raising their own personal reputation. A Social Justice Warrior, or SJW, does not necessarily believe anything they say, or even care about the groups they are fighting “on behalf of.” The term also connotes an established tendency to advance arguments based solely on the immediate utility of moral one-upmanship, and completely unattached to reality, truth, or any core moral principals such as non-initiation of violence.

But returning to Kolodny’s children, and why fear is an appropriate response to them: they’re rapists and violent criminals. Does that sound hyperbolic? It’s worse than you think. Kolodny’s children, those children, teenagers, and in time, the adults they will become are not simply her actual offspring. In fact, Carina Kolodny doesn’t have children. Rather, they are all the children and teenagers raised to believe in the same popularized narrative Kolodny perpetuates in her writing, media activism, and sex education.

What narrative? This one; “It is a young woman’s responsibility to safeguard herself from rape, assault, harassment, stalking and abuse because boys will be boys and some of them just can’t help themselves.”

There are two separate and contradictory ideas at play in Kolodny’s quote, so we will examine each one independently. The first is that of self-responsibility. Apparently, when contemplated for women or girls, the Social-Justiciar and sex-educator Carina Kolodny finds it objectionable. Protecting yourself is not girls’ jobs, it is society’s job to protect girls (and apparently no one else).

“It is a young woman’s responsibility to safeguard herself from rape, assault, harassment, stalking…”

Kolodny is being sarcastic, but why? Yes every young woman (and old woman, and every young man, and old man) has a personal responsibility to mitigate risk, to make responsible decisions about attire, displays of wealth, and to generally avoid stupid, unnecessary risk of criminal victimization. This is not to suggest that any individual falling prey to criminal victimization is at greater fault than whatever violent perpetrator may have committed such victimization–but being an adult means taking responsibility for oneself. That this needs to be explicitly stated is one more indictment of the modern ideology of gender flying under the big “F” brand name. Women apparently are not to be treated like adults: that appears to be the sarcastic underlying assumption of Kolodny’s humor.

But now, let’s return to her opinions on the propensities of boys and girls. The reason, unfortunately, that women have to safeguard themselves against rape – you know, as if they are adults — is because “boys will be boys” and they “Just cant help themselves.”

That’s right, if your son, your brother, or yourself happens to be male – he’s not a human being, he’s a rape-inclined animal, and only the careful guidance of a right-thinking feminist will prevent him from his inevitable realization of his “true nature”: a violent sexual predator.

What is more devious about this formulation of hers, however, is that it’s ultimately a lie. Kolodny would undoubtedly object and claim she doesn’t believe men are “that way” by nature, but rather that they are socially conditioned to behave that way, and that the rest of her remarks are ironic or sarcastic. But our culture does not teach men that rape is OK, it has never taught men that. Since boys and men are not taught that rape is OK and never have been in this culture, the only reasonable conclusion she and those of her ideological ilk can therefore reach is that, whether the cause is “natural” or “socially constructed,” boys and men are inherently rapey and have to be taught otherwise.

This whole confusing ideological Gordion Knot of Kolodny’s fucktardery can be cut cleanly with one statement: she’s an ignorant bigot and only an ignorant bigot would say the things she’s saying, even supposedly in jest. Boys aren’t inherently rapey, and neither are they taught to be, you stupid bigoted asshole. All your garbage does is teach them to hate their natural sexuality and believe themselves to be potential rapists when the vast majority of them are not and never will be so inclined. In fact, news flash you stupid bitch: even if you encouraged boys to rape, most of them would recoil and refuse.

Kolodny’s article continues on with her hatemongering bigotry with various admonitions and advice to be imparted to young men by their mothers, and possibly, if they were properly socialized, maybe even their fathers.

I have had quite enough of Carina Kolodny and every other fuck who subscribes to the ideology of gendered hatred she promotes. Fuck Kolodny’s open letter to the mothers of boys, and fuck every other vile, hateful garbage-spewing ideologue singing from the same songbook. My patience for those who heap hate, disdain and contempt on men and boys is exhausted. No, Social Justice Warriors, boys are not innately rapey, nor are they taught by our society to be rapey. Both are hateful disgusting deplorable lies, and fuck you for spreading either one of them.

There is really no point in further criticizing or attempting to converse with such hatred than to just identify it as what it is.

However, we do have a few suggestions to offer the mothers and fathers of boys growing up in what is now a feminist-dominated culture. Here’s a few words of advice on that score:

When you speak to your son, teach him that his identity is his own. It will be his own choice to be the man he wants to be. Not the man other people may demand him become because of his utility to them, or his convenient disposability, or his need to be shamed for things supposedly in his character that aren’t actually there. Teach him to beware of those who will confer an identity on him, especially in such a manner as Kolodny does. Tell him he is not a “good” man, nor a “bad” man, as both of those ideas are traps designed to control him. Those intellectual traps are for the convenience of those who disregard and even deny his fundamental humanity. If some stupid fuck tells you you’ve got a “rape switch” tell him to go to Hell. If some stupid fuck tells you your inconvenient erection means you’re “objectifying women” tell them to go fuck themselves. If someone tells you it’s your job to “stop rape,” tell them it’s their job to stop murder first and otherwise go fuck themselves.

You may also want to teach your son something he will never learn from this culture’s mainstream feminist narrative. Admittedly, he may figure this out himself, but why not give him a heads-up when he’s 10, rather than when he’s in his 30′s and sorts it out for himself? His sexuality, particularly his sexual desire, is his own. Nobody is entitled to it. No, he is not required to fuck just because a girl wants to. No, he is not inferior if he finds a particular girl (or boy) unattractive. No, he is not to be shamed if he has standards in women. No, his penis is not a dancing pony expected to fuck on demand. And his right to say “no” to a sexual encounter is every bit as vital and real as a girl’s right to the same.

This, of course runs against the populist public narrative. In the popular narrative, it is not merely assumed that masculine sexuality is predatory, exploitive, and 95 other negative adjectives. It is also flatly assumed that the sexuality, and the sexual desire of men, is a public resource to be not merely condemned and criticized, but used as a lever of control over, either through direct exploitation or through shame.

Your son’s penis is not simply not a weapon, as it it characterized by mainstream propaganda. It is also an intimate part of a boy’s body to which nobody else has a right. He will be living in a world where women assume ownership of his sexuality and desire. The idea that a man is always on, always eager, that he really doesn’t even have a right of refusal, is common; that he has a right of refusal is something he isn’t even taught to consider. He should be taught to consider it in the face of a culture that endlessly suggests otehrwise.

Your sons should know that he should command his own sexual self-ownership. A few useful phrases for your son to add to his repertoire might include variations of “talk to the hand bitch”, and “look sweety, I’m not actually gay, but for tonight, you should assume I am.”

“My cock is fabulous, but do not ever assume you’re entitled to it, or entitled to my wallet for another of whatever sugary shit your drinking tonight.”

You might also want to convey to your son that nobody has any right to initiate violence against him. We’re all familiar with the common admonition to “never hit a woman.” This carries the implied, but false, implication that women can rightfully initiate violence against him. This includes feminine incitement to other compliant men acting on the behalf of members of the leisure caste. Your son will need to know explicitly that he has a right to his own integrity and freedom from coercion or other violence. Indeed, his explicit moral right to self defence even against members of “the weaker sex.” If a girl slaps him, he probably shouldn’t slap back (in a just world this would be allowed, but we don’t live in a just world), but he should never accept it and should probably forever terminate his relationship with any woman who does that to him.

Your son will also likely be bombarded by public messaging admonishing him to “respect women.”

Not respect people. Not respect other men. No. Just respect women. But of course, this doesn’t actually mean respect women as individuals, because individuals have to earn respect. No, the respect they mean is like the respect that Indian peasants were supposed to have toward white British colonialists: the “respect for women” they want is the respect of an inferior to a superior. Don’t give it to them. Real respect is something earned, not commanded by fiat. The common admonition to young boys to respect women is actually a command to demonstrate obeisance – while also invisibly acknowledging the fraudulent doctrinal conception of female-as-inferior. Why else would respect for individuals of a particular social caste require the common command for respect?

Aside from respecting the fundamental respect for basic rights and courtesy due to all human beings until they demonstrate otherwise, your son should only respect those who earn his respect. You should tell him to do so with or without instruction from public opinion-crafters. If the “respect” publicly propagandized to boys and men of “women” were the respect of humans as individuals with basic human rights, they would say “people,” and not merely the social caste “women.” Teach him to recognize this for what it is: a demand for unearned. And teach him that this hateful “respect for women” canard is all the proof he will ever need that feminists lie when they say “feminism is about equality.”

On the matter of sex between men and women, you might also want to acquaint your son with the increasing, absurd and amoral public ethic of feminine non-accountability.

This idea, increasingly popular, is that women, distinct from men, are held exempt from any concept of responsibility in matters sexual. This is important knowledge of the mine-field that gender ideologues have chosen to create for members of the disposable social caste to negotiate.

If your son makes any decision, or takes any action – whether drunk or sober – he will be held responsible for it. In the legal and popular culture today, this is the reality: a woman is – due to the ideology of her inferiority as a human – explicitly not a responsible actor in her own life. For example, if a man and woman are both intoxicated during a sexual encounter – SHE is a victim, and HE is a victimizer. Yeah, that makes sense, right? If two people are drunk, the one with a penis is automatically the rapist.

It doesn’t end there either. Increasingly, any withdrawl of her consent makes you her rapist, even if it’s days or even weeks later.

Your son, when he is very young, may not understand this. Most young children are actually far more rational than most adults. As young people, they are not yet acculturated to many of the widely accepted stupidities and insanities people like Carina Kolodny buy into and peddle to an unthinking public. So it will be up to you to teach him that BECAUSE of MAGIC, or Fairies, or Wizards, or Aliens from planet X – that women are uniquely incapable of having opinions or making choices – particularly after drinking a grey goose martini.

Or, maybe just tell him that hateful bigoted nutjobs who think like this are in control, and he needs to be aware of it.

Your son, as he matures from a child into a sexually mature and active person, will be well-advised to demand evidence of mature accountability and self-responsibility from the women he allows into his life. We live in a world contorting reality into pretzels to exempt women from personal responsibility. It is rare to find those few women who demand their own realized adulthood, which includes personal responsibility. Your son will need a tool-kit to detect the real adults among a vast majority of female victim-toddlers whose irresponsible whims and moody tantrums are used to justify the suppression of the rights of others, and even justify violence on her behalf.

Such a toolkit is being developed by the various current practitioners of MGTOW – although details of the same are outside the scope of this discussion.

Advise your son to exclude women who fail these tests from his life.

Last but not least, while there may be many other important talks to have with your sons, you will also wish to discuss the various meanings and social values of words like “slut” and related terminology. As a parent taking on the task of describing sexual relationships in the real world of today you must remember that words like “slut,” “whore,” and even “rapist” take on different meanings when used by different people. If you can’t be honest about the real world with your child then you have no business engaging in such conversations. Leave that to others who are more capable.

“Slut” has several different meanings, three of which will be mentioned here:

The most currently popular of these is the use by gender ideologues of slut as a “positive” label. This is the reclamation by feminists of what they assert was once a condemning insult. In this application, it is claimed that slut means a sexually liberated, free-spirited and unashamed woman positively exercising her sexuality. Picture the proud self-identifying sluts of the emergent public parades known as “slut-walks” around the world. In reality, the term “slut” used in this context really means “grifter.” A self-identifying feminist slut is as sex-denying, as condemning, and as hatefully judgemental as a klansman opining on issues of the black community. Just ask a slut-walker if they’d like to go for a quick shag, and see that sluttiness precipitate into a shower of false outrage. “Sexually irresponsible jackass” might be another, more accurately descriptive, way to phrase it.

The term “slut” is also used to condemn a woman of truly open sexuality. But interestingly, this condemnation is often from another female. The sexual openness of one woman is, in this context, treated as de-valuing the woman offering that condemnation. This is also likely why among a certain subset of the feminist mainstream, sex-workers are criminalized and marginalized. Female prostitutes, by providing sexual access for a finite exchange of money, break the sexual trade-union of state feminism. A slut who, within the reasonable limits of hygiene personal capacity, will fuck just “anyone” (or the whole hockey team) is seen by sexually-withholding women as a threat to the control of the market.

The final use of the term “slut” to be mentioned here is the usage of the term by men. In this instance it is a term of admiration for women who place high value on honesty in their own sexual communication, as well as physical affection, openness and sexual disinhibition. This is by far the least-commonly used of the three different meanings of slut. But it is also a genuine term of admiration and affection – even among men who themselves are sexually insecure, or sexually cautious.

Related to the multi-definitioned term “slut” are two other words, namely “whore” and the aforementioned “grifter.” “Whore” of course is a much-misused term. Opportunist lawyers, politicians, attention seekers and other bottom feeding creatures are regularly labeled as whores, in an abuse of the word, and a failure to understand the nature of actual pay-for-sex merchants. Actual whores – of the type practicing their business honestly, are arguably a valuable part of their community. They provide a useful service, often under very difficult conditions. Much of the world still criminalizes the independent practice of sex for money, creating a criminalized environment of escalated harm for sexual service providers as well as their customers.

“Grifter” is of course a term somewhat out of fashion in modern usage. This may be because the practice of grifting so closely resembles what is the populist ethical practice of sex, and manipulation through access control.

A fourth term, “rapist,” is perhaps the most troubling of these terms. Among the gender ideologues presently dominating public narrative – like Carina Kolodny – a rapist is any man who is labeled one based on no more than the whim of a female accuser. The term once meant a sexual criminal, including women sexually abusing minors or anyone else who couldn’t reasonably consent to sex. However, “rape,” while it retains the powerful stigma and condemnation of violent sexual victimization is increasingly coming to mean any sexual activity in which a member of the disposable sex participates.

The disposable sex being you, my son.

But of course, in the practice of parenting – particularly of boys, these are just a few of the talks a responsible and loving parent will have to have. It is boys now being raised with an awareness of this culture’s need to control them through shame and coercion who will grow into men who cannot be controlled, or manipulated to their own self-destructive utility to others.

What the gender ideology of State Feminism always promised, namely a humanitarian, equalist society, is coming. But it is not coming from feminism. Even so, it’s coming with the inevitability of gravity, and it will be boys going their own way – and the men they become who bring it. These men, some of whom exist now as MGTOWs, are not men allowing themselves to be defined by their utility, or by their approval by women. They are not the tamed lap dogs that even radical feminists privately find repulsive just as they publicly demand continued male obedience.

It is not the point of this article to establish the thesis that boys are not naturally any of the evils routinely heaped onto them as if defining masculine identity. For the real parents of boys, this simple reality requires no exposition except for you to explain to them that the popular narrative lies about them and subjects them to unearned hate, to to teach them to be aware of it without accepting the hate. The talks you, the parent of a boy will have, will arm him to defend against the self-hatred they want him to absorb, and arm him to be ready to define himself by his own compass, and to armour himself against a poisonous wind which would warp him into a man of conditional identity rather than sovereign adulthood.

Your son should know that a boy taught to be a “good man” by feminist standards is one whose public personhood depends on consensus of utility and approval by dysfunctional women and their lapdogs. His identity to them is dependent, and referential. A “real man” is based on the (stated or unstated) agreement of his mother’s friends. And boys raised by mothers to be these pleasing slaves, so that they may one day be approved of by their female contemporaries, eventually becoming the cooperative beasts of burden we typically call husbands and fathers. Do your son a favour and teach him not to allow himself to become a compliant servant of men and women who would use him as a disposable utility.

Finally, teach your boy to use his own best judgement, and to seek only the counsel of those who first prove that they believe he is a sovereign adult and that women should be treated as no less and no more than that. Otherwise, teach him to beware those who would confer on him any identity he himself does not gladly accept or, better yet, craft for himself.

Teach him also of the ideologues who hate him based only on an aspect of biology, and to recognize them. And let him learn to fuck their shit up.

I love how JTO fucking nailed it. He described men's liberation perfectly. My hats off to him this is the best stuff I've read in a long time and I'm glad someone else is saying it too.

A couple of things from SAVES

Stop Abusive and Violent Environments (SAVES is pleased to announce that the Dr. Phil Show will be featuring a program devoted to the topic of male victims of domestic violence. The program will be aired in mid-September. The show will feature SAVE spokesman Philip W. Cook and several male victims of partner abuse.

The decision to devote a program to male victims followed Dr. Phil McGraw's testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee on July 13, 2011 - see SAVE's July 25 press release:

Download the file on how domestic violence programs discriminate against men

SAVE applauds the Dr. Phil Show for its recognition and support of all victims of domestic violence.

Sincerely,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released its Women's Preventive Services requirements for qualified health plans yesterday. Some of the rules are reasonable, like screening for diabetes in pregnant women.

But the document requires that health plans conduct "screening and counseling for interpersonal and domestic violence" on an annual basis for women...but not men: Women's Guide Lines
Contact Secretary Sebelius RIGHT NOW at Kathleen.sebelius@hhs.gov . Then call Assistant Secretary for Health Dr. Howard Koh at 202-690-7694.

Respectfully tell them the DV screening requirement of the Women's Preventive Services guideines is unreasonable and a slap in the face to male victims of domestic violence. Tell them to promptly revise the discriminatory guideline to include both men and women.

Sincerely,

Teri

Dr.Phil is giving men a fair deal or not? Let's see what happens on the show. For SAVES to get a spot on the Dr.Phil show is quite amazing. I hope he gives the SAVES advocates the same courtesy and respect he affords feminists. Apparently activism works and all of you who wrote in support of men's rights should be very proud of yourselves and we have every right to be now let's see how the show goes.

Get ahold of the Health and Human Services Secretary and tell her about the truth about domestic violence and what the real numbers are and that women are far from the angelic victims they pretend to be. The more of us she hears from the better so write in today. Act today with no delay.

Federal court gives men a weapon to fight back against false accusers

Students Accused of Rape Can Fight Back // Court OKs Suits Against University, Employees, and Female

With so much attention focused on alleged failures to prosecute students accused of date rape, the problem of universities whose judicial proceedings are unfair to the accused have been largely overlooked

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - May 19, 2014 - WASHINGTON, D.C. -- WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 19, 2014): With so much attention focused on the alleged failures of many universities to forcefully prosecute male students accused of date rape and sexual assault, the problem of universities whose judicial proceedings are unfair to the accused, and/or are overzealous because of pressure from female students or otherwise, have been largely overlooked.

But now a new judicial ruling gives those wrongly convicted a powerful new weapon - they can sue the university, the employees who participated in the proceedings, and even the accused herself in federal court for substantial monetary damages and other remedies, notes public interest law professor John Banzhaf, who was twice called a “radical feminist.”

After a school tribunal at Saint Joseph's University found a male student to have committed sexual assault arising out of an incident of allegedly consensual sexual intercourse, he took legal action, says Banzhaf, who has been successful in over 100 sex discrimination proceedings.

The federal court held that he was entitled to sue the private university under the state's Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, and that he could also sue the university, university employees, and the female complainant for defamation (slander), with the court holding that their accusatory statements about him were not legally privileged.

Interestingly, the court said that he could also sue the female complainant for intentionally interfering with his contractual relations with the school; an important ruling, suggests Banzhaf, because for such an intentional tort he can seek much higher punitive damages in addition to general damages. Also, the court ruled that the mere fact that the tribunal found that the male student had committed the wrongful act complained of was not conclusive as to his guilt or innocence, and did not shield the female complainant from this type of legal liability.

Several additional claims by the plaintiff were not accepted by the court on the basis of the complaint which had been filed, but the court said that the male student was not precluded from bringing up these claims again, provided they were properly pleaded.

These claims included, said Banzhaf: breach of contract, violation of Title IX (discrimination against him by the school on the basis of his gender), negligence, making public statements which place him in a false light, and intentional infliction of emotional distress (which might also warrant punitive damages).

"Female university students in 'he said, she said' rape and sexual assault cases, who were dissatisfied with the way the school handled the situation, are increasingly seeking legal remedies.

But now men who feel that the pendulum has swung too far, or that they were not treated fairly in school judicial proceedings, suddenly also have powerful legal weapons on their side.

Also, says Banzhaf, it is likely that some attorneys will take these cases on a contingency fee basis, so that both rich and poor students can go after both the universities and any women who improperly accuse them. Female students, knowing that they may have to repeat their allegations under oath in open court, may think carefully before bringing any unfounded charges, he predicts.

Well shut my mouth. This is a blessing,it truly is. It's about time someone in government took action and gave men a legal remedy to fight against the injustice of being falsely accused. This is what activism and making our concerns known accomplishes. There are lots of twists and turns on this road but if it yields victories such as this one then it is worth it.

State of the movement

I've given this a lot of thought and from what I've seen is that the majority of men just don't give a shit about their rights in fact a lot are content just to sit around being slackers and doing nothing and the rest just say "yes dear" just to keep their girlfriends or wives happy. Apparently men aren't learning from the media about what happened to the Duke lacrosse players or somehow they can't put themselves in the shoes of the innocent men or or they just have a "throw them to the lions" mentality or they deride MRA's when we speak up or perhaps it is "save the damsel in distress" that permeates our society and feminists have no problem fostering this myth,as long as it suits them.

But in other ways I see the times they are a changing (Bob Dylan speak) I see advocates such as Marc Rudov,Glenn Sacks and Tom Leykis speaking out on our behalf. I'm confident Leykis will be back on the air again. I'm trying to look at the bright side of this and I've tried to for the last 16 years. This isn't a retirement it is a cleansing. Cleansing in that a lot of misconceptions had been washed away. Intially I thought that the majority of men hadn't heard about men's activism or men's rights but now I discover they don't care. But perhaps like I said things are changing. Let's see what the future brings.

CISPA,the new SOPA

From Demand Progress:

Here's their next move: The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, or CISPA, would obliterate any semblance of online privacy in the United States.

And CISPA would provide a victory for content owners who were shell-shocked by the unprecedented outpouring of activism in opposition to SOPA and Internet censorship.

The House of Representatives is planning to take up CISPA later this month. Click here to ask your lawmakers to oppose it.

SOPA was pushed as a remedy to the supposed economic threat of online piracy -- but economic fear-mongering didn't quite do the trick.

So those concerned about copyright are engaging in sleight of hand, appending their legislation to a bill that most Americans will assume is about keeping them safe from bad guys.

This so-called cyber security bill aims to prevent theft of "government information" and "intellectual property" and could let ISPs block your access to websites -- or the whole Internet.

Don't let them push this back-door SOPA. Click here to demand that your lawmakers oppose CISPA.

CISPA also encourages companies to share information about you with the government and other corporations.

That data could then be used for just about anything -- from prosecuting crimes to ad placements.

And perhaps worst of all, CISPA supercedes all other online privacy protections.

Please click here to urge your lawmakers to oppose CISPA when it comes up for a vote this month.

Thanks for fighting for the Internet.
