McConnell: 'Gender card' alone not enough for Clinton
Associated Press
By BRUCE SCHREINER
SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — The Senate's top Republican said Monday the "gender card alone" won't be enough to propel Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton to the White House.
"I don't think arguing 'vote for me because I'm a woman' is enough," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said while sizing up next year's presidential race during a speech in his home state of Kentucky. "You may recall my election last year. The gender card alone is not enough."
In 2014, McConnell's Democratic challenger, Alison Lundergan Grimes, claimed the longtime Republican incumbent was insensitive on gender issues such as pay equity. McConnell trounced Grimes in the election, capitalizing on President Barack Obama's deep unpopularity in Kentucky.
McConnell said Monday there are millions of Americans who want a woman as president.
"The question is, a woman president to do what?" he said. "And I think inevitably, Hillary Clinton's campaign will be four more years of the last eight."
McConnell said Clinton, his former Senate colleague, is smart and capable but added there's "not a dime's worth of difference between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in terms of policy." He said he expects she will be the Democratic nominee.
"She's going to run straight left, just like the president did," McConnell said. "And their gamble is that the country is farther left than it used to be."
He called it a flawed strategy that the Republican presidential nominee can exploit.
"I think our nominee ought to say something like this: 'She's right, if you're happy with the last eight years, she's your candidate. But if you think America can do better by taking a different path, I'm your choice,'" McConnell said.
While McConnell discussed next year's presidential race during a speech in which he condemned Obama's record on an array of domestic and foreign policy issues, the senator was silent on this year's pivotal race for governor in his home state.
Later, McConnell told reporters the lack of comments about this year's top-of-the-ticket election in Kentucky wasn't a slight toward GOP nominee Matt Bevin, his one-time rival. Bevin, a Louisville businessman, last year tried but failed to wrest away McConnell's Senate seat in a bruising Republican primary.
"I certainly am enthusiastically supporting the nominee of our party," McConnell said. "I think we have an excellent chance of winning."
Bevin faces Democratic Attorney General Jack Conway in November.
Current Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear is in his second term and can't serve again because of term limits
Asked why he didn't talk more about Bevin, McConnell said his speech was focused largely on national issues and his new job as the Senate's top leader.

Senator McConnell is taking a brave stance by sticking his neck out like this so let's reward him for having the courage to do so. I think it is great to see one of our elected officials stand up to feminist bullies. I'm going to contact him and thank him for taking a pro-male stance. If you believe the same as I do then I invite you to write to Senator McConnell as well.
My thoughts on pro-masculism and anti-feminism. Some thoughts may mirror what others have said while others are uniquely mine but either way they are legitimate.

Re-elect Mitch McConnell

Why am I mentioning Senator McConnell? Because he is one of the 22 Senators that stood up to the feminazi bullies and voted against VAWA. He remembered us now it is time we help him. If you are an MRA and a resident of Kentucky or allowed to vote there re-elect Mitch McConnell. Not only that but McConnell is big supporter of the other Senator from Kentucky,Rand Paul. Like I said if McConnell is defeated then some liberal Obama-loving,feminist loving democrat will take his place. You want that? I don't. So like I said if you are able to do so re-elect Mitch McConnell.

If we can get VAWA aka S.47 killed in the Senate then we won't have to concern ourselves over it anymore. If it passes and goes to the House then we have to go after it in the House as well. It would be a lot easier to just end it now so send in those emails. The following Senators are also not VAWA friendly: Rand Paul,Mike Lee,Chuck Grassley and Orrin Hatch. Also Senator Mitch McConnell is the ranking Republican member there so it may be a good idea to let him know as well.

The Senate vote on VAWA should be very soon.
The Senate is expected to vote on S. 47, a Violence Against Women Act reauthorization bill this week. Unfortunately, S. 47 ignores well-documented problems. VAWA Reform Principals are urgently needed to create a comprehensive and effective VAWA.
DO NOT DELAY!
Please call your Senators TODAY.
Tell them, "Say NO to S. 47 and YES to Real VAWA Reform!"
Call 202-224-3121 or find your senators here: click here
Keep calling!

Or you can email them too. Tell your Senators you hate VAWA and don't want it reauthorized. I've also contacted Senator Rand Paul and Senator Mike Lee because they are not big fans of it either especially Lee who flat-out called it "unconstitutional" and voted against VAWA. Can't fault another VAWA hater so way to go,Lee. The Republican leader in the Senate is Senator Mitch McConnell so you may want to let him know too.

Let's make sure Congress includes presumption of innocence in VAWA reauthorization
From SAVE Services:
What Happened to the Presumption of Innocence?
The DV industry is telling Congress that the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) must be reauthorized during the lame duck session. We need to make sure they hear our message that VAWA should not be reauthorized unless it respects the presumption of innocence.

Protest the Cybersecurity Act
From Campaign For Liberty:
Wednesday night, the Senate defeated the latest attempt to ram through Senator Lieberman's "Cybersecurity Act of 2012."
Thanks to your quick action, we won an important victory despite finding out about Reid's plans fewer than 24 hours before the vote.
After being defeated on this issue yet again, even Harry Reid was forced to admit, "Cybersecurity is dead for this Congress."
Enter Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell...
... who on Thursday actually said he hopes the bill will come up again in December!
Why in the world would he make such a statement?
Well, apparently McConnell voted the right way Wednesday simply because Reid limited the amendments that could be offered to the bill.
So how many others didn't shove this bill down our throats just because Harry Reid didn't allow an open amendment process?
The simple truth is, there are far too many members of the Senate eager to secure more government control over the Internet.
We can't assume anything - or let down our guard for a moment.
That's why I'm asking you to contact Mitch McConnell by phone at 202-224-2541 and by email today with a simple message - "No Deals!"
Growing government power is about the only bipartisan action we can expect from Congress nowadays.
Have "leaders" in Washington really learned NOTHING from the election?
Millions of Americans were sick of the status quo and simply stayed home.
Grassroots activists want leaders who will STAND UP for their right to privacy and for their freedoms online - not just because the process the bill comes up under is flawed, but because fighting for freedom is the right thing to do!
As Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell (whose number once again is 202-224-2541) needs to lead on principle.
If the Republican Party ever hopes to find its way out of the latest wilderness it has wandered into, then it must stop being the "Big Government-lite" party.
And if the Internet is to remain a vibrant resource for technological innovation and the open exchange of information, Big Brother must keep its grabby mitts OFF.
C4L's message is getting through, as support for the so-called "cybersecurity" bill actually decreased by one senator since they last acted on it in August.
We will continue to apply pressure with the mailgrams we've received from thousands of activists like you, but we need your help today to double-down!
Please take a moment to contact Mitch McConnell by phone at 202-224-2541 and by email right away.
Tell him to oppose ANY efforts to pass Lieberman's "Cybersecurity Act of 2012" or any other legislation during the lame-duck session to give government more power over the Internet.
In Liberty,
John Tate
President

Free David Bedoya VAWA victim
Imagine this: you think you've met the woman of your dreams but in reality you've met and married the banshee from hell. A woman you thought was truthful to you and loyal to you is a lying bigamist. Worse yet she throws you to the wolves aka the U.S. injustice system on a VAWA charge to get you incarcerated. Imagine that. Meet David Bedoya,he doesn't imagine it he LIVES it everyday he's been incarcerated. There are thousands of David Bedoyas out there, incarcerated men, incarcerated men who are only guilty of picking the wrong woman. Instead of giving them counseling as free men the government incarcerates them. Apparently to our government and society a foreign woman who has connived the system, which is a criminal act is more valuable than an honest man who contributed to the system. Since this is VAWA related the best plan is to get in contact with our elected officials, both houses, here and let them know about how men are victimized by VAWA. Also get in contact with the John Boehner,Speaker Of the House,Eric Cantor,House Majority Leader and Mitch McConnell,Senate Republican Leader and let them know as well. I've heard that Senator Chuck Grassley,Senator Jerry Moran,Senator Rand Paul and Senator Mike Johanns may be sympathetic to the men's rights movement so it would probably be a good idea to let them know as well. We let these people know that there are human male victims of VAWA and their situation has to be remedied and the female criminals who put them there need to be brought to justice.
Someone suggested emailing Mitt Romney as well so here is his email address: mitt@mittforpresident.com Let's do this.
