Support the Office of Men's Health

We petition for the establishment of an Office of Mens Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This office would mirror the work of the existing Office of Womens Health, which has helped to save thousands of lives and has improved the lives of many more. Men die 6 years younger than women and suffer higher mortality rates for the top 10 causes of death. The lives of hundreds of thousands of men will continue to be threatened unless immediate action is taken to combat this growing crisis. The Office of Mens Health will coordinate the fragmented mens health awareness, prevention, and research efforts now being conducted by federal and state government. An Office of Mens Health will help our economy and provide needed resources as health care moves to local management.

Feminist gets off on destroying innocent men

Clementine Ford, a self proclaimed feminist editor, has had a man fired for sending his (former) company screenshots of him calling her a "slut" - meanwhile, there are a multitude of messages Ms. Ford has posted online saying things like "Kill all men" and other incredibly sexist, shocking statements. A person of true equality would not support these type of statements being spewed out so casually. Ms. Ford should resign from her job as a writer and weekly columnist for Fairfax' Daily Life.

Sign the petition to get her fired

She bragged about destroying innocent men. This bitch is evil. She has to go. This guy in the video has my same attitude. Be a man and love the fact you are a man. Fuck everyone who has a problem with it.

CSU student sues DOE for gender discrimination

A former Colorado State athlete who was suspended for sexual assault last fall is now suing the United States government for gender discrimination, while alleging that the Department of Education’s sexual assault guidance violates federal laws, therefore suggesting that every campus sex assault case decided under that guidance could be overturned.

According to the lawsuit, Grant Neal, a sophomore at Colorado State University-Pueblo (CSU-Pueblo) who played football and wrestled at the school, had consensual sexual intercourse with a female classmate, who is not named in the lawsuit, last October. The next day, a peer of that woman, who is also not named, reported to the school that Neal had raped the woman.

In December, after investigating, the school found that Neal was more than likely responsible for sexual misconduct—the standard that the federal Department of Education tells schools to use—and suspended him for as long as the alleged victim remained at the school. The woman said he never raped her, according to the lawsuit.

After the ruling, Neal apparently lost athletic scholarships and has found that no other school will admit him. His suspension had critics, and a petition for the university to overturn it has nearly 2,000 supporters.

The lawsuit names the university and several school officials, including its president, as defendants, and notably also includes the U.S., the Department of Education and the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR), as well as Secretary of Education John King Jr. and Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Catherine Lhamon—a first in such cases by male students accused of sexual assault, according to legal experts.

The basis for the lawsuit is the OCR’s controversial “Dear Colleague” letter, which it issued to colleges and universities in 2011. The letter stated that sexual violence at schools falls under Title IX, the federal law that prohibits sex discrimination in education settings. The OCR offered guidance for how schools should handle sexual assault and violence cases. It also said those that mishandle them would be in violation of Title IX and could lose federal funding.

Advocates for male respondents in campus sexual assault cases say the 2011 guidance led to an overcorrection on the issue in a way that discriminates against young men, is inherently anti-male and denies them due process. Neal’s lawsuit alleges that the OCR’s guidance violates the law.

“We believe the ‘Dear Colleague’ letter issued by the U.S. Department of Education is illegal and unconstitutional,” Andrew Miltenberg, who represents Neal and has become a go-to lawyer for male respondents in sexual assault cases, tells Newsweek via email. “By essentially encouraging male gender bias, the Administration’s directive has violated Title IX and created a new class of victims on campus—accused male students who have had their right to due process stripped away.”

Male students accused of sexual assault are increasingly suing their schools, and especially since 2013, more of them are claiming Title IX discrimination—the same violation that female sexual assault complainants have made, alleging that schools mishandled their claims in a way that goes against their Title IX rights. Most of these so-called reverse-Title IX cases have been unsuccessful: In March, a judge dismissed a high-profile case against Columbia University by Paul Nungesser, the student who was the subject of classmate Emma Sulkowicz’s “mattress” art project and protest. Nungesser has until April 25 to file an updated complaint. Miltenberg represents him too and has said he plans to file.

However, a handful of these cases have recently survived motions to dismiss, including ones against Washington and Lee University, Brown University and Brandeis University.

Neal is suing for violations of Title IX and due process and breach of contract. He also alleges that the “Dear Colleague” letter violates the federal Administrative Procedure Act, which mandates a notice and review process for when the government issues a new rule. The lawsuit claims that the OCR issued “binding law” under the guise of “guidance” without following the APA procedures.

Such a violation, the lawsuit alleges, means the “Dear Colleague” letter and all disciplinary decisions made under it are “unconstitutional, arbitrary and void.” A ruling in favor of that claim might open any campus sexual assault decision a school made since 2011 to a challenge.

Hans Bader is a senior attorney at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a nonprofit public policy organization, who practices education law and previously worked as an attorney at the OCR. He points out that a footnote to the “Dear Colleague” letter says it does not add to existing law, and yet “it requires colleges to follow those letters to the T,” he asserts.

“Requiring schools to apply that as gospel when they essentially made it up out of nothing—that’s a plain violation of the APA because you have an entirely new legal obligation without notice and comment, without even the pretext of any real basis,” he says.

Several advocates for male respondents have recently vowed to take on the OCR. Last week, Families Advocating for Campus Equality, a due process advocacy organization led by mothers of male students accused of sexual misconduct, filed testimony with a Senate subcommittee opposing a federal proposal to increase the OCR’s funding by about 30 percent. “Approval of such a dramatic increase in OCR’s budget will only reward OCR for its much-criticized overreach,” the organization said.

And earlier this month, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, a nonprofit that advocates for free speech and due process on campus, called for students to help challenge the OCR for the same “abuse of power” that the Neal lawsuit alleges. A FIRE spokesman says the Neal lawsuit is unrelated to the organization’s effort.

“When an administrative agency wants to promulgate a regulation that will force people to change their behavior in some way,” says Justin Dillon, an attorney who is working with FIRE on its effort, “the agency, No. 1, has to put out a notice that it’s thinking of taking this action, and No. 2, allow people to comment on this action, whether they’re for or against it.”

Those procedures, Dillon says, ensure that only federal employees with accountability to the voting public are the ones setting rules. “Agencies are not Congress. Agencies are unelected people,” he says. “The staff of the agency are just garden-variety federal employees with absolutely no democratic accountability. The idea is, you don’t want to have people who are not accountable to the voters basically making laws” without those review procedures.

Should a judge determine that the “Dear Colleague” letter is null and void, Dillon says, some “might argue that they have a right to reopen a case” under pre-2011 procedures—unless the ruling that vacates the letter only applies moving forward.

Dillon, who is not involved in Neal’s case, says he and FIRE are “very close to filing” their own lawsuit that makes a similar argument.

The OCR has been a defendant in at least one other lawsuit. In 2005, plaintiffs sued the OCR, alleging its investigation into a possible Title IX violation involving male and female high school hockey teams was flawed. A federal court judge dismissed the case in 2007.

A CSU-Pueblo spokeswoman declined to comment on pending litigation. A Department of Education spokesman declined to comment for the same reason.

As of April 13, the OCR is investigating 175 colleges for their handling of sexual violence cases.

“We’ve seen just a cataclysmic change around the country in terms of attention to the issue; responsiveness to it; and training, preparation for our students so that we can see safer campuses,” Lhamon, the civil rights assistant secretary, told Newsweek last year. She said the OCR had not yet rescinded funding from a school for mishandling a sexual violence claim but added, “I would absolutely be prepared to do it.”

Require women to also sign up for selective service

It is only fair that if women can be in combat units all women must register for selective service upon turning the age of 18. Men must deal with many penalties for failing to register, from fines up to 250,000 dollars and jail time, to being blocked from federal student financial aid, federal jobs, and job training programs.

Sign the petition to bar Megyn Kelly from future presidential debates

Megyn Kelly characterizes the Presidential selection process as "fun", dismissing the millions of Americans that find it much more serious. We deserve better than Megyn Kelly. Below, please find a list of reasons we believe Megyn Kelly should be barred from all future debates:

1.Megyn Kelly had a clear agenda: attack Donald Trump. Even if she “attacked equally”, we’re not looking for a hatchet-man; we’re looking for a moderator to thoroughly, and fairly, vet the Presidential candidates.
2.With over 90 million Americans out of the labor force, they are more concerned with their future than whether or not someone engaged in name calling.
3.She tenaciously covered (to the point of voyeuristic obsession) Mr. Trumps past rather than his vision for the future.
4.Megyn Kelly's feeling, however valid, should come second to the interest of our Nation.
5.She focused on candidates personally, rather than politically.
6.Megyn Kelly failed to cover many things more relevant to a Presidential candidate. For example, Marco Rubio’s gang of eight bill, Jeb Bush’s fascination with common core and feckless immigration policy, Rand Paul’s specific position on constitutional issues, Ted Cruz's track record of telling the truth on everything he's ever done, politically, Ben Carson's honest, calm and collected "outsider" approach (mixed with his questionable second amendment stance), etc.

Ultimately, neither she nor Fox News lived up the "fair and balanced" standard: were it not for closing statements, the American people may have viewed an entire debate without understanding a single issue for which the candidates stand.

While her disdain for Mr. Trump was evident, this petition is a call for truly fair and balanced coverage of all candidates. Therefore, and as evidenced by her clear bias and poor performance, Megyn Kelly should be barred from hosting or moderating all future Republican Presidential debates.

Petition Utah to reform DV laws

It is an automatic 5 year sentence in a Federal Penitentiary for a person to possess a firearm while they have a protective order in place against them. A significant number of respondents (disproportionately men) have had their rights under the U.S. Constitution's 1st and 2nd Amendments trampled on by "protective orders" that have been in place for 5 years, 10 years, or even longer. The vast majority of states allow for an automatic cut-off after a year or 3 years. Utah's law unconstitutionally allows protective orders to continue INDEFINITELY. Should a Petitioner believe s/he still needs a protective order beyond 1 or even 3 years, they should be required to apply to the court for a new protective order (before or after the EXPIRATION of the original protective order). This is the ONLY way to be fair to the Respondent.

The Respondent can suffer the loss of his/her firearm for the 1-3 years due to his/her actions towards the Petitioner. However, indefinitely preventing a Respondent from being able to defend him/herself or work in a field of choice which requires a firearm is entirely unconstitutional.

The undersigned agree and wish that you would take action to make a positive change in this matter at once. Thank you.

Urge the Victorian government to take male victims of domestic violence seriously

Domestic violence is a growing epidemic that affects everyone. Within Victoria there are no supports specifically catered for men/fathers who are the victims of domestic violence. We ask the government to provide funding to an organization that is capable of serving these men/fathers and children that are fleeing violent partners and their specific needs.

The Government of Victoria have provided $100,000 for animals fleeing domestic violence but next to nothing for men/fathers and their children fleeing family violence.

Support International Men's Day

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that Google and its doodlers do something as creative and fun as possible for as many people as possible to celebrate "International Men's Day" and have it made public on 19 November 2015.

Background: International Men's Day (IMD), like so many grassroots initiatives, has a history and people who need to be acknowledged.

International Men’s Day was first celebrated by men’s rights advocate Thomas Oaster in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, in 1992.

The project was taken up and revived by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh in 1999 who said:

"Nobody, including myself, has a monopoly or control of International Men’s Day. This Day belongs to the world. International Men’s Day is a gift to humanity. It is to be shared." - J. Teelucksingh (May 10, 2010)

Many foolishly state that there is no need for an international men's day as 365 days of the year are for men. This is a political claim made to negate men, and politicize Sex inequality so as to justify inverse sexism. This negative position has never been part of IMD and has been rejected.

Dr Teelucksingh wrote:

"It seems that International Men’s Day is not a fad or fleeting Fashion statement which will soon diminish or end. IMD has Objectives that represent the core of this vibrant movement. There are no magic words to recite that will solve problems and IMD certainly does not have a genie to grant wishes. Thus, International Men’s Day cannot guarantee that tomorrow will reveal a problem-free society. But, we can certainly work towards that goal.

This version of IMD is unique because women such as Geneuvieve Twala of Botswana (in Africa) have promoted this day and willingly participated in IMD activities. One of the major reasons for the success of IMD is the fact that women’s groups have also embraced this day. Hopefully, girls and women across the world will soon understand that IMD will create better sons, nephews, cousins, brothers, husbands and fathers. Many women have realized that IMD is not about female-bashing and condemning feminists or womanhood.

Both International Men’s Day and International Women’s Day strengthen and empower men and women, but we must not allow women to portray men as the ‘enemy' and vice versa"

Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, Achieving peace, equality and a healthy environment, AuthorHouse, 2011, page 34, ISBN:9781463442170

DIVERSITY AND EQUALITY STATEMENT (2011)

"We (IMD) encourage every man, woman, girl and boy in the world to join us in celebrating men and boys in all their diversity on International Men’s Day (November 19th).

We recognize that there are a broad variety of laws, values and viewpoints around the world that affect different men, in different countries in different ways. There is also a diversity of opinions about those laws, values and viewpoints which are held by the many different men, women, girls and boys throughout the world.

As a day of observance we place our focus on that which unites humanity- giving everyone who wants to celebrate International Men’s Day the opportunity to help work towards our shared objectives which we apply equally to men and boys irrespective of their age, ability, social background, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, religious belief and relationship status. Those objectives are:

1.To promote positive male role models; not just movie stars and sports men but everyday, working class men who are living decent, honest lives.
2.To celebrate men’s positive contributions; to society, community, family, marriage, child care, and to the environment
3.To focus on men’s health and wellbeing; social, emotional, physical and spiritual.
4.To highlight discrimination against males; in areas of social services, social attitudes and expectations, and law
5.To improve gender relations and promote gender equality.
6.To create a safer, better world; where people can be safe and grow to reach their full potential."

These Six Pillars have been at the heart of IMD for many years, with IMD being celebrated in many countries.

Ryan Germick, designer and illustrator for Google, said in 2014 “We don’t use handbooks or focus groups,”,"All we want to do is something as creative and fun as possible for as many people as possible.” - Guardian

The core theme for IDM 19 November 2015 is Expanding Reproductive Options for Men, addressing Better availability of birth control methods, Research into new birth-control methods, Paternity testing and Family planning through the gendered lens of how they affect men and men's human rights.

We, the undersigned, therefore respectfully request that Google and its doodlers do something as creative and fun as possible for as many people as possible to celebrate "International Men's Day" and have it made public on 19 November 2015.

Tell the government to make Selective Service requirements apply to women too or scrap it all together

Make forced conscription gender neutral or abandon it.
Recently Norway became one the first countries in the world to subject women to the same conscription rules as men. It is time for the United States of America to follow its lead towards more gender neutrality by law. In a society where men and women are considered equal, both should experience equal rights, as well as equal responsibilities. This includes the Selective Service System to be gender neutral.

Moreover, with women no longer being excluded from combat positions since 2013, there is no more ground to exclude women from the Selective Service registration, as women being excluded from combat position was the reasoning in 1981 by the United States Supreme Court when a similar proposal was refuted.

Fuck you Sarah Silverman apologize T-Mobile

Apologize for, or Remove bigoted, Sarah Silverman, "Sorry it's a boy" Commercial.

To whom it may concern,

People who have contacted T-Mobile with complaints about the recent Sarah Silverman, "sorry it's a boy" Super Bowl commercial due to it's bigoted message were replied to from the head office with condescending emails containing messages that basically amounted to a "sorry you didn't see the humor in our commercial".

You can see an example of one of the condescending emails the company sent in the screenshot attached to this petition, This is totally unacceptable and demonstrates the attitude of a company that has no respect whatsoever for the consumers nor for baby boys and mothers of boys.

We as consumers and potential consumers will not tolerate these sort of insulting messages and continue to support T-Mobile products and as such we will be boycotting your products until an official apology or the removal of this commercial is completed. For a company that claims to pride itself on tolerance of all groups and genders this commercial sends a contrary message.

Hold UVA misandrist president accountable

Fire University of Virginia president Teresa Sullivan
Jonathan Farley
United States

University of Virginia president Teresa Sullivan vandalized our legal system by immediately assuming the guilt of innocent men after an anonymous accuser without evidence cried, "Rape!" Sullivan suspended activities of all fraternities (not just the one fraternity the accuser mentioned), and no sororities---discrimination solely on the basis of sex. "Rolling Stone," which published the incredible accusation, now apologizes for running the story, saying it no longer trusts the lone accuser. While the Board of Visitors immediately apologized to the anonymous accuser and her parents, now that "Rolling Stone" has backed away from the story, the Board of Visitors' "zero-tolerance" approach to sexual assault must include firing the woman who aided and abetted a false rape accusation as well as physical violence against the fraternity---in recognition of Brian Banks, Johnathan Montgomery, and the research of Eugene Kanin.

Tell Taylor Swift to ease up on the misandry

From SAVE Services:

Taylor Swift is not just a celebrity, but one who actively takes on the responsibility of role model for young adults.

Which is why it's shocking that in her latest music video, she's shown handling a breakup by punching her boyfriend and destroying his property. See the 'Blank Space' video. While teenagers are going to have breakups, we don't want them thinking that this is anything close to acceptable behavior.

Taylor Swift shouldn't abuse her spotlight by showcasing abuse. Her video is a sharp departure from her usual positive messages, which actually why, out of all celebrities, it is the most damaging to our efforts to see someone like Swift condone it. Domestic violence is real, and in some respects worse for males when they often have difficulty being taken seriously by the criminal justice system.

Please join us with calling on Taylor Swift to remove the "Blank Space" music video and donate the profits made to an organization that stops domestic violence for all victims.

Tell Big Machine Records, Swift's record company, to pull the video: mail@bigmachine.us.

Additionally, please take a second to sign our Change.org petition, which is already at over 300 signatures.

Don't let Taylor Swift shake off her endorsement of domestic violence.

Truly yours,

Gina Lauterio, Program Director
Stop Abusive and Violent Environments

PS. Please help us grow our efforts. And share this e-lert with a friend.

A good example of a letter to send is on the Change website. It is well written and if can't come up with something on your own it is a good letter to use instead.

Protect male rape victims

Nullify laws that make it so that a male victim of rape has to pay child support to the rapist.

On the behalf of male victims of rape, and sexual assault I ask that you consider nullifying laws that force male victims of rape to pay child support should the rapist become pregnant during the act of rape. This is still legal in 31 states. This effects families of children as young as 8. No one can psychological give consent to sex under the age of 18, so forcing a victim of rape to pay child support only psychologically burdens the victim further. Women get endless support for rape, and now is the time to help men out.

Unseat a corrupt judge

Navy submariner Matthew Hindes is stationed on a submarine in the Pacific. But he’s been ordered to appear in a Michigan courtroom Monday in a custody battle with his ex-wife Angela involving their daughter, Kaylee.

Hindes was given permanent custody of Kaylee in 2010, after she was reportedly removed from Angela’s home by child protective services. Kaylee has been living with Hindes’ wife Benita-Lynn – her step-mother – in Washington state while Hindes is deployed aboard a nuclear submarine in the Pacific Ocean.

Despite Hindes’ assignment, a judge has ordered Hindes to appear in court or face contempt.

Hindes’ lawyers argue he should be protected by the Service members Civil Relief Act, which states courts in custody cases may “grant a stay of proceedings for a minimum period of 90 days” to defendants serving their country.

The judge hearing the case, circuit court judge Margaret Noe, disagreed, adding, “If the child is not in the care and custody of the father, the child should be in the care and custody of the mother.”

The sailor is not allowed to appear by Skype or phone, and in custody cases, being absent in court could have a huge effect on the outcome.

Hindes is not only facing the possibility of losing custody of his daughter, but also the chance to say goodbye

As a result of this blatant disregard for child welfare (the child was removed from the care of the mother by CPS) and intent to punish a father for being a member of the armed services, we call for the immediate resignation of Judge Margaret Noe.

SAY NO TO NOE.

Detroit has a Problem — Sign This Petition to Help Fix it
June 8, 2014 By Paul Elam

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you……

As recent history would lead us to fully expect, radical gender ideologues have made it their mission to silence our efforts to address issues affecting boys and men in Detroit at AVFM’s First International Conference on Men’s Issues scheduled for the end of June. And by “us” I mean a unique, diverse and eminently qualified line up of experts on gender issues, including those affecting men and boys.

We have a former National Organization for Women chairperson and two groundbreaking women who founded the international women’s shelter movement in two countries. One of them is the first black female to take office as a senator in North America. Also speaking will be psychotherapists, psychologists, attorneys, academicians and dedicated advocates from the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia and India. We have concerned attendees coming from around the globe to hear vitally important messages about their sons, brothers, fathers, husbands and other men they love.

It seems unthinkable that this petition is actually necessary. Who would have imagined that in 2014 we would have to petition a city, especially one so steeped in the historic struggle for civil rights, to demand that we be allowed to stand publicly and speak to issues like suicide, homelessness, corruption, incarceration, the welfare of children and the state of education?

Yet that is exactly what is happening.

We are calling on the city of Detroit to take note. Radical feminists have corrupted the idea of gender equity. They have transformed it into a Marxist agenda of oppressive control, including the silencing of all opposing views.

You are seeing this play out on the streets of your city right now.

We are asking people across the world to sign this petition. Even if there is not a single boy or man in your life, please help us help boys and men and help us preserve the tradition of basic civil liberties.

Tell Detroit this is unacceptable.
