From SAVE services:
The senate voted on the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) yesterday. Sen. Leahy's version passed with 68 votes for and 31 against. Now it moves to the House.
Please do not get disheartened. Look at the bright side: 31 senators were brave enough to vote no. Imagine how difficult that was in this election year.
We need to thank these senators, especially Sen. Grassley for providing a substitute amendment, and we need to do it right now.
Sen. Grassley:

Let's send some thank you letters for standing up to feminist bullies. This took a lot guts and they should be rewarded for it so let's send some emails.
My thoughts on pro-masculism and anti-feminism. Some thoughts may mirror what others have said while others are uniquely mine but either way they are legitimate.

CISPA goes to the Senate
House Passes CISPA: Make Sure It Dies In The Senate
We pushed them to the brink, but House Republicans rammed through CISPA this afternoon, ahead of schedule. Let's make sure it dies in the Senate: Please add your name at right.
CISPA would give the government and corporations vast new powers to track and share data about Americans' Internet use.
But our hundreds of thousands of emails and tens of thousands of phone calls have had a real impact:

CISPA would give the government and corporations vast new powers to track and share data about Americans' Internet use.
But our hundreds of thousands of emails and tens of thousands of phone calls have had a real impact:
- Amendments were adopted that made CISPA (marginally) better.
Earlier this month CISPA was supposed to sail through, but we helped foment opposition, and the vote was far closer than anybody could have imagined even a couple of weeks ago.
- Most Democrats held firm in opposition, and more than two dozen libertarian-leaning Republicans defied their leadership and voted no.
- Most importantly, President Obama has threatened to veto CISPA.
The Senate will consider cyber security legislation in the coming weeks.
Let's turn up the heat right away: Tell the Senate to reject CISPA and any and all legislation that doesn't respect privacy and civil liberties.

CISPA and the president
CISPA Is Up For Vote This Week: Help Kill It Now
We're making a big difference: As lawmakers get ready to vote on CISPA, the bill's sponsors have agreed to amend the legislation to constrain what the government can do with the information it uses CISPA to collect.
But those changes don't go far enough.
We need lawmakers to support any and all amendments that would protect Internet users' privacy AND to vote against CISPA as a whole.
We're nearly out of time: Please add your name at right to email your lawmakers right away.
CISPA would obliterate any semblance of online privacy in the United States. You can read more about it here.
Many lawmakers share our concerns about CISPA and will introduce amendments to minimize its negative impact on ordinary Internet users. We need to get their backs and encourage others to support their efforts.
Obama Threatens To Veto CISPA: Encourage Him To Stand Strong
This is HUGE: President Obama just threatened to veto CISPA if it makes its way through Congress.
Please add your name at right to urge Obama to stand strong, and to let your lawmakers know that you support Obama's veto threat.
CISPA is up for a vote this week. It would obliterate any semblance of online privacy in the United States, giving the government -- including the military -- broad new powers to spy on Internet users.
The White House's letter expresses precisely the concerns that we've been highlighting over recent weeks -- and is a result of the public pressure against CISPA:
The White House says that any cybersecurity legislation must preserve "Americans' privacy, data confidentiality, and civil liberties and [recognize] the civilian nature of cyberspace."
It says that, "The bill also lacks sufficient limitations on the sharing of personally identifiable information between private entities and does not contain adequate oversight or accountability measures necessary to ensure that the data is used only for appropriate purposes."
And the letter goes on to assert that:
The American people expect their Government to enhance security without undermining their privacy and civil liberties.
Without clear legal protections and independent oversight, information sharing legislation will undermine the public's trust in the Government as well as in the Internet by undermining fundamental privacy, confidentiality, civil liberties, and consumer protections.
Click here to sign the petition.
Obama didn't have a record to run on before now he can run as the anti-CISPA candidate.
I guess with Obama's help we can beat this thing so let's send those emails.

Lawyer tries to persecute MRA's
From A Voice For Men:
SPLC linked to anti men’s rights subreddit
(AVFM News) Washington D.C. Apr. 24, 2012 –There has been much debate amongst MRAs as to what in particular prompted the SPLC to identify several Men’s Rights groups and websites as hate groups in their 2012 Intelligence Report. The report itself did not give any specific clues and in fact featured mass murderer, George Sodni, a man with absolutely no ties to the movement whatsoever.
Recently, it has been pointed out to AVFM News that a poster on reddit announced shortly after the release of the Agent Orange Files that they were going to contact the SPLC and that she, in fact, had ties there. She later took credit for the organization’s naming of the MRM as a hate movement. This will be the first time that a direct connection between the releasing of the AO files and the actions of the SPLC.
In December of last year A Voice for Men published and article entitled “Radfem Hub, the underbelly of a hate movement” which exposed screenshots from a private Radfem online forum which can only be described as heinous examples of vitriolic hate speech. An MRA going by the name of Agent Orange, along with others, had painstakingly collected the screenshots over a period of time and in addition tracked down the identities of the forum participants. Their names, along with their respective quotes from the screenshots, were featured in the article.
Shortly after publication of this article AVFM announced that Agent Orange had made available online a warehouse of screenshots that included Facebook and Linkedin profiles of Radfem Hub participants along with examples of their postings. This was done in order to expose the hateful activities of feminists and to make aware to the public their intentions. AVFM encouraged MRAs to browse through the files and write their own articles in order to publicize the matter further.
The immediate reaction from feminists all over was that of carefully guarded shock. Articles written by Jezebel and David Frutrele (Manboobz blog author) tried to minimize the impact by posting articles that glibly chided MRAs for doing what they described as a feeble attempt to discredit Radfem Hub and Feminism in general.
However, the reaction from other quarters betrayed panic.
A lawyer from Baltimore named Kathy Brennan, who is also an active member of Radfem Hub, frantically tried to track down the identity of Agent Orange and openly called for his prosecution. She was not successful. Online Feminist forums became suddenly quiet for weeks due to fear among their members that they too would be identified. Calls for action by the FBI were heralded all over the internet in an attempt to get the federal government involved. These too were not successful.
One instance where there was no hiding the panicked reaction of Agent Orange’s targets was a on the Sub Reddit “Shit Reddit Says”; a sub-reddit who’s only apparent aim is nothing more than to discredit the Men’s Rights Movement. As AVFM reported in January, along with the announcement of the Agent Orange files publication, the sub reddit was ablaze with anger and rage directed at AVFM and Agent Orange for publishing the names of Radfem participants. One thread in particular, named “r/mensrights announces their plan to release the private information of RadFem Hub posters” hosted a frenzy of redditors posting their angst and disgust regarding the AVFM’s coverage of the Agent Orange Files.
One redditor calling herself “little tiger,” named the writer of best Effortpost and Best Submitter of 2011 announced four months ago on the SRS thread that she had connections at the SPLC and would try to get them involved. After the SPLC released their intelligence report concerning the MRM she took credit for initiating the report as recently as five days ago on a subreddit called “Subreddit Drama.“
“I have known the folks at SPLC since approximately 2006. I talked to a friend of mine there personally in December after a particularly frightening incident at /r/MR (I did not identify the subreddit specifically or even say it happened on Reddit, just said “a men’s rights group online”), and they essentially told me that they were aware of the MRM already and yeah, sometimes MRAs did frightening things, isn’t the Internet weird blahblah.” she posted in response to an inquiry about her activities on the thread.
Agent Orange contacted AVFM and notified us about littitiger and provided links to her activities on Reddit. (see links below) He also shared with us a brief correspondence with littletiger.
“From me to littletiger:
‘Thank you
‘I wanted to personally thank you for helping get the word out to the SPLC after the Agent Orange release. The press you helped to provided us has allowed us to begin pushing out agendas into India, New Zealand, the Philippines, and Germany. We literally have tens of campus student groups forming across the U.S. as a result of the this.
You see, since the SPLC exposure, folks across the U.S. that had no idea of the issues have been coming to us in droves, and quite a few are telling their families who are in other countries.
‘There are even more articles showing up in publications talking about our issues since the SPLC release, many of them second [guessing] the current paradigm in gender politics.
‘On behalf of the MRM, I’d like to extend a warm thank you, and kindly ask you keep up the good work.
Littletiger responds:
“I want you to know that I also called the SPLC about RadFemHub’s hateful tendency to drop dox on trans women. The problem is doxxing, not the fact that you are an MRA.”
It is curious that in addition to the SPLC not reporting about the Radfem Hubs activities they are also accepting money from them as reported by AVFM previously.

A direct connection to the SPLC and RadFemHub and the SPLC has the nerve to call us names when this is the company they keep. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds SPLC and a lot of those problems of yours are on this blog. The truth comes out. With what they said at that forum I believe law enforcement is the last agency they want to make aware of what was said there.

Stand up to CISPA
From Demand Progress:
Congress Votes On CISPA This Week: Tell Your Lawmakers To Oppose It
CISPA is up for a vote this week. It would obliterate any semblance of online privacy in the United States, giving the government -- including the military -- broad new powers to spy on Internet users.
CISPA demolishes existing barriers between the government and the private sector -- and between government agencies -- that restrict data sharing without cause, effectively allowing information about Americans' use of the Internet to slosh back and forth uninhibited.
Please call your member of Congress right away to urge them to oppose this legislation. We'll find your lawmaker's phone number and provide you with a script you can use.

Let's send some email or make some phone calls. Time to stand up to big government again. Let's do it.

VAWA to go before Senate
From SAVE services:
t's down to the wire. The senate is expected to vote on the Violence Against Women Act very soon.
Vice President Biden recalled recently that when VAWA was first passed, opponents warned that it would be misused in divorce. They were right.
One in six Americans know someone who has been falsely accused of domestic violence. The "silver bullet" in divorce, false allegations are sometimes used to obtain child custody. This despicable act removes fit and loving parents from the lives of their children.
Please take a moment as soon as possible, and speak out for the millions of children who are missing a falsely accused parent. And do it for the parents who are grieving for their children, stolen with a lie.
Find your senators here: click here. Take note of their party affiliation and phone number.
If your senator is a Republican, call, and ask them to support Sen. Grassley's Substitute Amendment to VAWA.
If your senator is a Democrat, call, and ask them to demand changes to Sen. Leahy's VAWA (S. 1925), to curb false allegations of domestic violence.
Thank you for taking a stand for affected families everywhere.

Tell the House to oppose H.R. 3523
From Campaign For Liberty:
This coming week, Congress is set to take up another so-called "cybersecurity" bill, H.R. 3523, the "Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act of 2011" (CISPA).
And this time, many of those who joined us to stop SOPA and PIPA are supporting this legislation.
So only the immediate action of you and your fellow C4L members can help protect our privacy from the government's ever-expanding reach.
After our victory over SOPA/PIPA, I wrote to you in late February about the need to stay vigilant against Congress' attempts to assert more control over the Internet.
Well, since then, Republicans and Democrats have introduced at least four major "cybersecurity" bills.
Expanding government power is always bipartisan.
CISPA, sponsored by Rep. Mike Rogers (MI-8), is promoted as a harmless bill that will enable voluntary "information sharing" between private corporations and government agencies in the name of "cybersecurity."
Unfortunately, it would allow the transfer of vast amounts of data, including information like your Internet browsing history or email content, to any agency in the federal government, including non-civilian agencies such as the National Security Agency or the Department of Defense Cyber Command.
One major problem with these alleged "cybersecurity" bills is their overly broad focus on what information private companies are encouraged to share with federal agencies.
CISPA currently contains no incentive for private companies like Facebook or Google to remove personally identifiable information from data they share.
In addition, the way this legislation is drafted, it currently overrides privacy presumptions found in the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, and the Communications Act regarding the privacy of an individual's online communications and related records.
Essentially, CISPA would deem all existing privacy laws null and void for "cybersecurity" purposes.
Once the government has this information, there are no meaningful restrictions on its use, as its only qualifier is that it must be related to "cybersecurity" or to protect "national security."
As C4L members know too well, "national security" has become a catch-all excuse for government powergrabs since 9/11.
Finally, while the bill includes a requirement for the Director of National Intelligence's Inspector General to issue annual reports on how the government is using the information shared under the bill, such reports would only be provided to congressional intelligence committees.
These reports would not constitute meaningful restrictions or do anything to dissuade the misuse of personal information shared under CISPA.
As I hinted at earlier, unlike the January 18 "Internet blackout" over SOPA and PIPA, this time Internet giants like Facebook and Twitter are openly supporting CISPA, along with powerful special interest groups like the US Chamber of Commerce.
In other words, don't expect the cavalry to back us up on this one.
And House Leadership is currently engaged in a full-court press effort to get your representative to support H.R. 3523.
Sources on the Hill have informed us of "members only" meetings, where representatives are being encouraged to vote for CISPA as a "national security" issue addressing a "credible" "cybersecurity threat."
I'm sure it's only a coincidence that this briefing comes conveniently just ahead of when the establishment wants to ram something through.
In the face of such longshot odds, without your immediate action, I can't promise that we have even the slightest chance of beating back this egregious invasion of your privacy.
But, I've seen the power the liberty movement can have when it speaks out with a unified voice.
And you better believe members of Congress have taken notice, too.
That’s why I hope you’ll contact Congress right away.
Click here to find your representative’s information.
And after you’ve contacted Congress, please forward this email to at least five friends or family members encouraging them to do the same.
This fight won't have the glamour or media attention that SOPA and PIPA received, so please take action immediately and show Congress the liberty movement is serious about defending our constitutionally protected rights no matter the odds.
In Liberty,
Matt Hawes
Vice President
P.S. Internet giants like Facebook and Twitter are openly supporting H.R. 3523, the "Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act of 2011" (CISPA) - the latest plan from Congress to further infringe on Americans' privacy.
It’s up to the liberty movement to take action and stop CISPA in its tracks! Please contact your representative immediately and demand a "NO" vote on H.R. 3523 and any similar legislation!
It just seems that this Congress just doesn't stop in fact every time some idiot gets a bad idea they have to draw up a bill to give some sort of legitimacy to it. CISPA,along with PIPA and SOPA,is a bad idea and unfortunately we're never going to run out of bad ideas but we can defeat them so the best thing to do is to weigh in your disgust at government censorship and let them know you will not tolerate it.
You can find your Congressperson here
You can also contact Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor here. Let them know we are tired of the assault upon the internet and we want it to stop.

The loving side of women and female war victims
A couple of videos from SavetheMen:
This video is with AoirthoirMasculinist as the narrator:
This must be some examples of female nurturence that we keep hearing about. The divine positive goddess of love. That divine goodness from the goddess that will sprinkle love upon the earth and all will live in harmony. Isn't that what they promised? Didn't they promise they would make wars and aggression a thing of a patriarchial past? Peace, love and understanding from women? I'm going to classify this "sweet, nurturing woman" as I would bigfoot. I've heard a lot about it yet I've never encountered one.

Senate getting wary toward VAWA
From SAVE services:
I enjoy Spring, the season of new beginnings and hope. My hope is that we give domestic violence law a new beginning, starting with the reform of VAWA (S.1925) to protect civil rights. Easter break has passed, and the Senate is back in session. As of this writing, there has not been a vote on VAWA. Word has it the delay is due to some Senators behind the scenes demanding amendments to S.1925 in return for their vote. This is great news for us!
I hope you realize that your calls give these senators the motivation and strength to speak out on your behalf. Please don't let them down now, not when they need your support the most. Let's do another round of phone calls today.
Please contact your two senators and ask them to be sure the new VAWA respects civil rights, esp. the requirement of the 4th Amendment to have probable cause before a person can be arrested.
Find your senators' phone numbers here or call the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121, where an operator will connect you with the Senate office you request.
Hope is a wonderful thing. But it's not enough when it comes to politics. Now, get busy and make those calls!
Want to feel really good about yourself? Call every day until the vote. ;-)
Thanks,
teri

Sounds like encouraging news which means there may be some light at the end of the tunnel. Let's make those calls or send those emails if you prefer. The time to strike is now considering the iron is hot. Let's make contact and roast VAWA or at least purge the misandric parts of it.
Also it may be a good idea to contact Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell R-Kentucky and tell him to include Constitutional safeguards in VAWA as well. If we can get him to see our side of it it will be very good for us because he's the leader of the republicans in the Senate so they'll listen to him.

Tonight On The Record
As I was watching On The Record with Greta Van Sustern I noticed her sexist attitude toward government employees relaxing in Columbia. It seems that Van Sustern had a hissy fit when several male secret service employees and some Pentagon personnel hired some hookers for some R and R. Sustern was citing safety concerns in allowing hookers into their rooms and how they were immoral for doing so. Someone pointed out that being a secret service employee is stressful and that they were relieving stress. Van Sustern stated she didn't care how stressful the job is they shouldn't be doing that. The next segment featured Secretary of State Hillary Clinton throwing down a few beers with Sustern stating that if anyone had a right to throw down a few beers it is Hillary Clinton because she has a stressful job. WTF??? Let's back up here for just a moment. The stress of secret service agents doesn't count because it comes with the territory but then again stress comes from the secretary of state's job as well. Why is one's stress a mitigating factor while another's is not? National security some might say. I say nice try but that dog don't hunt. Hillary, being the secretary of state,is part of Obama's cabinet, while the secret service employees are not. Clinton would know more about sensitive information than the secret service employees would know. If Clinton had shot her mouth off in that bar, where it is possible foreign agents are listening, she could have jeopardized our position in that region than these secret service employees could have ever done. Not only that but Clinton held up something that said "Havana" on it. Is Clinton promoting the Cuban capital? Or its government? Sustern states that she feels ashamed by the actions of the secret service employees but excuses Clinton who is drinking like a fish. So what is really going on here? It is the pussy pass in operation again. When you get right down to it there is no difference between left wing feminists and right wing feminists.
Keep the pressure on Zuckerberg to withdraw support for CISPA
From Demand Progress:
It's working: Nearly 200,000 people have signed our open letter, and Facebook is responding to our criticism of its support for CISPA.
Will you help us break 200,000 signatures?
Let's see what we can do. This is in reference to this. Hopefully we can make an impact on Mark Zuckerberg and get him to change his mind about supporting CISPA. If you haven't already sign the petition to pressure Zuckerberg to withdraw his support for CISPA please do it now. The internet shouldn't bow down to anyone, whether it's the government or private industry. Just say no to internet censorship.

Male only "privileges" that women want no part of
We often hear about how women want equality and that they want equal access to "male privilege" Now before I go on there are two types of "privileges" that are going to be talked about here: the first is the scenario of the male executives, with glasses of champagne, toasting a successful business plan and high fiving each other. Women see this and they start making demands to achieve it. What they don't see or care to for that matter is how weeks earlier when these same men were still brainstorming and trying to come up with rough drafts, with their heads in their hands. It seems women want the best of life without making the sacrifices to achieve it.
The following are "male-only privileges" that women want no part of:
Men are the only ones that face the death penalty in murder cases but even in cases where the death penalty is spared men "enjoy" longer sentences than women.
Male only selective service where men and only men have to sign up for to receive government benefits
Men receiving longer sentences for the same crimes that females also commit. Even if the woman is the mastermind she can place blame on the man to conceal her culpability.
When men and women both serve in the military only men may be required to serve in combat. Also the fitness required for women is lower than for men
Men make up the majority of occupation accidents and fatalities: 95% vs. 5%.
Men's health concerns are neglected compared to women's health issues. Men's concerns gets pennies while women's health issues gets dollars.
Women outlive men by a decade.
Men are victimize by anti-male laws such as VAWA that strips them of everything they worked hard for and destroy their reputations in the process.
If we can consider the aforementioned bullet points to be "privileges" "enjoyed" by men then I happily concede my "privileges" to whoever wants them.

NCFM member starts petition re “Angry ex-girlfriend goes ballistic, rips off man’s scrotum”
April 10, 2012
By NCFM
After readign this ball busting article please consider signing the petition below:
Talk about a ball buster.
An Indiana man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after his scrotum was the victim of a vicious attack by an ex-girlfriend, The Smoking Gun reports.
The victim told police that his former girlfriend, Christina Reber, stormed into his apartment as he was innocently sitting at his computer. Reber, with whom he had severed ties a few days earlier, first struck him on the head and then grabbed his scrotum and began “squeezing as hard as she could.” Naturally, he told officers that he “was in incredible pain when [she] grabbed his scrotum and began digging in her fingers.”
The police report indicates that the scrotum area was “completely torn loose from his body.” Reber reportedly “refused to let go of his scrotum,” but the victim was finally able to remove his balls from her vice-like grip.
As if the story isn’t already good enough, the victim, who has not been identified, was taken to BALL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. As far as we know, the hospital is not only for scrotum-specific injuries…

Then see the video Ex-Girlfriend Busted For Brutal Scrotum Attack
NCFM NOTE: So, why wasn’t she charged with felony domestic violence? Answer that, please… Notice how flippantly this horrific situation is treated. Humorous? Did you laugh or chuckle? Would you have laughed or chuckled if, let’s say, the story was about a man who invaded his ex-girlfriends house, attacked him, hit him over the head, then mutilated her vagina? Do you think maybe, just maybe, he would have been charged with felongy domestic violence?
The petition:
Why This Is Important
Taylor Bigler, Entertainment Editor of The Daily Caller has written an article about the sexual mutilation and abuse of a man at the hands of his ex-girlfriend. In writing this article, Ms. Bigler somehow found this man’s horrific injuries which may have caused permanent damage and the crime committed against him by his ex-girlfriend to be a humorous and positive event. If the genders were reversed and a man ripped the breast from a woman’s body, would Ms. Bigler have made comments such as “As if this story isn’t already good enough….” Good enough? So Ms. Bigler finds some good out of this poor man’s sexual mutilation. Daily Caller article
We ask that Taylor Bigler resign from The Daily Caller or be fired by them. Nothing short of Ms. Bigler’s resignation or firing will suffice.
I guess as Entertainment Editor, Ms. Bigler finds this type of abuse entertaining and humorous. This incident’s reporting is no place for jokes, puns and other light-hearted comments. This is a severe domestic violence incident. We who sign this petition are tired of the media making light of domestic violence when the perpetrator is a woman and the victim is a man. First we see The Talk call the drugging, tying up and cutting off of a man’s penis by his ex as “fabulous” and now we hear Ms. Bigler call the removal of a man’s scrotum as “good”. ” As if this story isn’t already good enough….”? The only thing good enough for Ms. Bigler is her removal from The Daily Caller permanently. A public apology from The Daily Caller is also in order for publishing this misandric article. Any of the people signing this petition will also be unsubscribing from The Daily Caller if they are subscribers.
This petition could have been in the Men’s rights category. But Change.org refuses to make one. They give more rights to animals than men. Please sign and share this petition as well. Thank you. click here

The other gender gap: Obama struggles to make gains among male voters
By Judson Berger
Published April 09, 2012
FoxNews.com
April 6, 2012: President Obama speaks at the White House. (AP) For all the analysis of Mitt Romney's struggle to attract female voters, little has been made of the other gender gap -- President Obama's difficulty in attracting male voters.
While Romney's deficit among female voters is deeper, the incumbent president has faced his share of trouble winning over the other 49 percent of the population. The president's approval ratings since the beginning of his term demonstrate this reality. He fares consistently better among women, consistently worse among men.
When pitted against Romney, the Republican presidential front-runner, the trend holds. Romney often captures the men, while Obama wins the women. In a Fox News Poll released last month, only 43 percent of men said they approved of the job Obama was doing -- 51 percent disapproved. The numbers practically flipped among women.
Drilling deeper into the numbers, the poll showed 59 percent of men disapproved of Obama's handling of the economy, compared with 50 percent of women who felt the same way. On the deficit, disapproval among men was 61 percent; among women, 53 percent.
A widely cited USA Today/Gallup poll last week, which measured Obama's and Romney's support in 12 vital swing states, showed Romney losing women 36-54 percent.
In the swing states, Obama was doing better among men than he has been nationally, but still behind by a point -- with Romney leading 48-47 percent.
The reason for each candidate's gender gap likely can be traced to a host of factors.
There are historical trends to consider -- women have favored Democrats and men Republicans for decades.
In this particular race, dissatisfaction with Obama runs deeper among men when it comes to issues of the economy and the deficit -- issues Romney has tried to make the centerpiece of his campaign platform.
Amid a shaky economy recovery, though, Obama's trouble with the not-so-fair sex could boil down to the basic challenge of unemployment.
"Men are hurting more in this workforce in unemployment than women are," said Brad Blakeman, past adviser to former President George W. Bush. "Men have left this president because they are unemployed."
The latest jobs report in March pegged the unemployment rate for men at 7.6 percent, for women at 7.4 percent. The numbers, though, weren't always so close.
The gap in the jobless rate for women and men grew to nearly 3 percentage points in late 2009 and has narrowed slowly since.
A 2010 report by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York found that the men fared worse during the recession and its aftermath in part because the industries that suffered most were male-dominated.
From a cultural perspective, Blakeman noted that the "burden of not being employed" can weigh more heavily on a man than a woman. Polling has shown different issues mattering more to male and female voters.
In the USA Today/Gallup poll of swing state voters, men listed the deficit and national debt as their top issue. For women, the top issue was health care.
Indeed, Obama and his Democratic allies appear to have made inroads with women by stoking concerns about Republicans targeting contraception. "The culture wars nonsense really drives -- especially women -- crazy," said Democratic strategist Peter Fenn. He said that while Obama should strive to bring more men on board with his campaign, Democrats historically don't need to be winning among men to win the presidential election.
Christopher C. Hull, who runs the online advocacy platform BlastRoots, said the gender gap has more to do with the nature of the parties than the candidates.
"The reality is that the party of the left is a generally communitarian party, and the party of the right is a generally individualist party," he said, calling those "feminine and masculine qualities, respectively."

Kellett brought up on disciplinary charges
Maine Bar Council recommends discipline for ADA Mary Kellett
April 13, 2012
Robert O'Hara
FEATURED, NEWS UPDATES
(AVFM News) Washington D.C. Apr. 13, 2012 – Fathers and Families, a popular men and fathers rights group engaged in activism involving primarily the rights of fathers, reported on their website yesterday that Assistant District Attorney Mary Kellett of the Seventh Prosecutorial District of Maine was recommended for discipline by the Bar Council on April 6th. Bar Council J. Scott Davis handed down the recommendation which could result in anything from Kellett to getting disbarred to a criminal investigation.
Criminal,we definitely want criminal charges so let's roast her ovaries. If you are wondering why I'm taking this attitude I refer you to this.
It is unclear whether or not Maine has a provision for an independent prosecutor at this time as that would be the best way to secure criminal charges against Kellett. “Obviously, the District Attorney of Ellsworth likely won’t prosecute one of his/her own lawyers, but, if there’s an independent prosecutor statute, someone else can. They can and should.” Wrote Robert Franklin in his article on the Fathers and Families website.
Mary Kellett has been the target of activism from many different quarters including S.A.V.E., A Voice for Men, Fathers and Families and Antimisandry.com, who all participated in a petition signing drive to have her disbarred for the wrongful prosecution of Vladek Filler, a man falsely accused of rape by his unstable wife Ligia during a custody dispute. Kellett has been criticized heavily for disregarding the due rights of those accused of sexual assault crimes in her district and has a known record of convicting men who were strongly suspected of being innocent.
Among the abuses cited by the Bar Council are Kellett’s refusal to hand over evidence to Fillers attorney, Daniel Pileggi, the nature of which was extremely exculpatory. Pileggi eventually had to get the court to produce the evidence for him because of Kellett’s refusal to cooperate in a lawful manner.
Franklin calls upon others who have suffered at the hands of Kellett to file a grievance with the Bar Council.. AVFM News will be closely covering any developments.

A Voice For Men
It looks like all that activism paid off. When I saw that video that featured everyone from the governor to the legislature to everyone on down jump aboard the feminist bandwagon I had pretty much had given up any hope on men getting a fair break in Maine but hopefully that may not be the case. Let's see if justice prevails.
Facebook supports CISPA
From Demand Progress:
Tell Facebook: Withdraw Your Support For CISPA
What is Facebook thinking? They've signed on in support of CISPA -- the new bill that would obliterate online privacy, give the military crazy new abilities to spy on the Internet, and potentially let ISPs block sites and cut off users accused of piracy.
First, please help push this viral on Facebook by using this link -- you'll be sharing the campaign, along with the photo of Mark Zuckerberg at right:
The Center for Democracy and Technology says, "CISPA has a very broad, almost unlimited definition of the information that can be shared with government agencies and it supersedes all other privacy laws."
According to the Electronic Frontier Foundation:
An ISP could even interpret this bill as allowing them to block accounts believed to be infringing, block access to websites like The Pirate Bay believed to carry infringing content, or take other measures provided they claimed it was motivated by cybersecurity concerns.
Internet users were able to push GoDaddy to withdraw its support of SOPA. Now it's time to make sure Facebook knows we're furious.
First, please help push this viral on Facebook by using this link -- you'll be sharing the campaign, along with the photo of Mark Zuckerberg above:
PETITION TO MARK ZUCKERBERG: What is Facebook thinking? You're encouraging Congress to obliterate online privacy -- Even as your users express increasing concern about the privacy of their accounts on your site. Please withdraw your support for CISPA right away.
Facebook is supporting CISPA. Ain't that fucking ironic considering facebook is shooting itself in the foot by supporting CISPA. What if facebook promotes something The Powers That Be don't approve of and facebook is blacklisted? They didn't think about that one obviously. If censorship is something that pisses you off then by all means sign the petition.

California endorses misandry
Received from Marc Rudov:
It never ends. Woman hitting man is funny, right?
The California Lottery, from the "sensitive state," thinks so. It has a new TV spot in which a woman slaps a man to give him good luck. Really?
Will the next promo show a man slapping a woman to give her good luck? I think not. How about you?
I'm going to protest this insult with an email to the California State Lottery and you can do the same by clicking here. Misandry coming from private industry is bad enough but when it comes from the State it is even more frightening. If you want to defeat misandry in government this is the way to do so write in today.
CISPA,the new SOPA
From Demand Progress:
Here's their next move: The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, or CISPA, would obliterate any semblance of online privacy in the United States.
And CISPA would provide a victory for content owners who were shell-shocked by the unprecedented outpouring of activism in opposition to SOPA and Internet censorship.
The House of Representatives is planning to take up CISPA later this month. Click here to ask your lawmakers to oppose it.
SOPA was pushed as a remedy to the supposed economic threat of online piracy -- but economic fear-mongering didn't quite do the trick.
So those concerned about copyright are engaging in sleight of hand, appending their legislation to a bill that most Americans will assume is about keeping them safe from bad guys.
This so-called cyber security bill aims to prevent theft of "government information" and "intellectual property" and could let ISPs block your access to websites -- or the whole Internet.
Don't let them push this back-door SOPA. Click here to demand that your lawmakers oppose CISPA.
CISPA also encourages companies to share information about you with the government and other corporations.
That data could then be used for just about anything -- from prosecuting crimes to ad placements.
And perhaps worst of all, CISPA supercedes all other online privacy protections.
Please click here to urge your lawmakers to oppose CISPA when it comes up for a vote this month.
Thanks for fighting for the Internet.

Demand Progress members have been bombarding Congress in opposition to CISPA, with nearly 60,000 emails sent in the last 24 hours.
We need to make sure our lawmakers know that we won't stop fighting for privacy rights and Internet freedom.
Fine, let's add to it. It is our internet too and we want to preserve its freedom. By preserving its freedom we are preserving our freedom particularly our freedom of speech. If you haven't sign the petition to preserve free speech you may want to do so.

gay supremacy enforced in schools
Received the following from the Public Advocate:
The Radical Homosexuals infiltrating the United States Congress have a plan:
Indoctrinate an entire generation of American children with pro-homosexual propaganda and eliminate traditional values from American society.
Their ultimate dream is to create a new America based on sexual promiscuity in which the values you and I cherish are long forgotten.
I hate to admit it, but if they pass the deceptively named "Student Non-Discrimination Act," (H.R. 998 & S. 555) that's exactly what they'll do.
Better named the "Homosexual Classrooms Act," its chief advocate in Congress is Rep. Jared Polis, himself an open homosexual and radical activist.
And it's dangerously close to becoming the law of the land.
H.R. 998 already has 157 co-sponsors in the House!
And S. 555 already has 37 co-sponsors in the Senate!
That's why I need you to act quickly -- right away -- to protect our nation's youth.
I have prepared the official "Protect Our Children's Innocence" Petition to Congress for you to sign.
Please click here to sign it right away so I can rush it to the Capitol with thousands more.
You and I must defeat this disastrous legislation.
You see, the Homosexual Classrooms Act contains a laundry list of anti-family provisions that will:
*** Require schools to teach appalling homosexual acts so "homosexual students" don't feel "singled out" during already explicit sex-ed classes;
*** Spin impressionable students in a whirlwind of sexual confusion and misinformation, even peer pressure to "experiment" with the homosexual "lifestyle;"
*** Exempt homosexual students from punishment for propositioning, harassing, or even sexually assaulting their classmates, as part of their specially-protected right to "freedom of self-expression;"
*** Force private and even religious schools to teach a pro-homosexual curriculum and purge any reference to religion if a student claims it creates a "hostile learning environment" for homosexual students.
And that's just the beginning of the Homosexual Lobby's radical agenda.
In fact, it will set them up to ram through their entire perverted vision for a homosexual America.
My friend, I'm sure I don't have to tell you this is not a fight we can afford to lose.
That's why Public Advocate is leading the fight against this immoral legislation.
This is a battle for the survival of American values and the fact is, there's no time to waste.
The Homosexual Classrooms Act will turn America's schools into indoctrination centers and its classrooms into social laboratories -- and they're pulling out all the stops to pass it.
You see, they've disguised the bill's wicked purpose behind an innocent name: "The Student Non-Discrimination Act."
The Homosexual Lobby knows that if the public knew the truth about their radical agenda, they'll have no hope of success.
And their dangerously close to ramming their perversity into law.
H.R. 998 already has 157 co-sponsors in the House!
And S. 555 already has 37 co-sponsors in the Senate!
You and I need to take action right now to stop the growing momentum of this disastrous legislation.
Unfortunately, this agenda is nothing new.
In fact, other countries like Britain are already experimenting with this kind of legislation, such as mandating public schools inject pro-homosexual content into every aspect of education.
Word problems in math classes are now to include homosexual characters. History classes will document the "civil rights" struggle against the "oppressive" pro-family establishment.
And it's even started to infiltrate our state governments.
In California, lawmakers want to "require schools to portray lesbians, homosexuals, transsexuals ... as positive role models to children in all public schools."
Sexual deviants being held up as models of virtue?
If that makes you as sick as it makes me, you simply must join me in this battle for America's children.
Please sign the "Protect Our Children's Innocence" Petition to Congress. Your action will make all the difference.
And if all that wasn't enough to convince you that action must be taken immediately, there's more.
Many say that there will always be private schools and traditional homeschool families to teach traditional values to the next generation.
But the truth is, this radical agenda is NOT restricted to public schools.
Kevin Jennings, while acting as Obama's "Safe Schools Czar," clearly stated that "every school, public, private or parochial has an obligation" to teach a pro-homosexual curriculum.
Jennings even denounced school choice programs as "very dangerous" because they make it much harder to impose the Homosexual Agenda on our kids. "Lord forbid a Baptist or Mormon school," he added.
Jennings' ultimate goal is for all curriculum in "kindergarten, and first grade, and second grade - every grade" be infused with a pro-homosexual slant.
Traditional values will be squashed and demonized as old fashioned or out of date, or even as bigotry.
You and I cannot let them succeed.
Please sign the "Protect Our Children's Innocence" Petition to Congress I've prepared for you right away.
Thank you so much for all you have done.
Sincerely,
Eugene Delgaudio
President,
Public Advocate of the U.S.
P.S. Radical Homosexuals in Congress have a plan to indoctrinate our children in schools -- both public and private.

The GLBT community has no business pushing their agenda on the rest of us nor do they deserve to be exempt from this if it were to become law. It's time that radical homosexual advocates stop trying to shove their agenda down our throats considering we outnumber them.

VAWA money embezzled;improperly spent

$1.2 Million in Anti-Violence Funds Embezzled, Missing, or Misused: Fraud is Widespread, SAVE Charges
Washington, DC/April 4, 2012 – Following release of three reports by the Department of Justice, Stop Abusive and Violent Environments (SAVE) is charging that many grants made under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) are plagued by fraud and waste. Such malfeasance shortchanges the vulnerable victims of partner abuse.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) issued three reports in March highlighting the problem:
1. A March 28 press release announced the sentencing of Julie and Andrea Matau for embezzlement of funds from a VAWA grant. From 2005 to 2007, the mother and daughter pair stole $159,763 in federal money from their American Samoa legal services corporation, which had received $1.2 million in VAWA-related grants. click here
2. A DOJ audit of the Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Planning Commission reported that $847,553 in funds awarded by the Office of Violence Against Women were found to be questionable. Of this amount, $372,434 of expenditures had no records to document how the money had been spent. click here
3. An audit of VAWA grants to the Coeur d’Alene Native American tribe’s domestic violence program revealed $240,431 had been improperly spent, including $171,000 in salary for an unapproved position. click here
Each year VAWA awards $500 million in grants to abuse-reduction organizations, but fiscal management practices have been found to be sub-standard. A SAVE report documents long-standing problems of fraud and abuse. click here
The SAVE report points out that the Office of Violence Against Women has not conducted comprehensive self-evaluations, in disregard of directives from the Government Accountability Office and Office of Management and Budget.
Says SAVE spokesman Philip W. Cook: “Victims of domestic violence are ill-served by fraud and waste, especially on such a broad scale. Congress must assure the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act contains strong accountability measures that deny funding to rogue grantees that misuse taxpayer money.”
Stop Abusive and Violent Environments is a victim-advocacy organization working for evidence-based solutions to partner violence: www.saveservices.org.

This goes to show that VAWA money was used for purposes other than what it was meant to be and a lot of it is being used fraudulently as these links will indicate. This is a big issue perhaps we should tell our elected officials and protest this waste. You can find your Congressperson and/or Senators here. Let them know about this waste, fraud and abuse.

A blurb of hope
From Demand Progress:
Hollywood's bragging that they're pushing a new version of SOPA. But in less than 24 hours more than 50,000 of you have emailed the White House to demand that President Obama reject Hollywood's back room deal.
This is indeed encouraging as it shows Obama and the other PTB that we are not going to let them cancel the Constitution on us,particularly the First Amendment. Be sure to sign the Fight For The Future petition mentioned in the post previous to this one and sign the Demand Progress petition as well.

Fight for the future by opposing internet censorship today
From Fight For The Future:
Can you believe this? After the largest online protest in history, the Obama administration is still voicing support for SOPA.
We promised to ask for your help if SOPA returned. We're asking now. This kind of backtracking demands a strong, fast response. We're running a petition to demand that Obama drop all support for internet censorship. Our goal? Get more signatures than the top petition on whitehouse.gov -- 151,000 signatures. Tell Obama to promise: "I will never advance legislation that blocks websites or disconnects Americans’ internet access.”
What is the White House working on exactly? Just the other day, the administration sent a letter to Congress to demonstrate their support for new internet censorship legislation. A few weeks ago, the White House struck a deal to give corporations private powers to shut down your internet connection (after "six strikes" without due process or judicial review), completely in secret.
Obama's internet would let private companies block sites and turn off our web connections. Blocking websites censors free speech, hurts jobs, and breaks the internet. These are tactics used by totalitarian governments and we believe they’re never ok. Let's get more signatures than any petition on whitehouse.gov.
As Wired noted*, "The White House did say that it wouldn't endorse a bill that endangers freedom of expression, increases cybersecurity risks, or negatively affects the DNS system. On the other hand, it says elsewhere that "combating online infringement" -- not protecting free speech -- is a governmental priority "of the highest order." What about free speech, Obama?
Sign the petition now, then share it to keep the internet strong. Our friends need to know where the President is currently standing on SOPA.
We couldn't have stopped SOPA and PIPA without you and all of your friends! And we can't do it without you now. Let's make sure SOPA 2.0 never gets written. Thank you,
Tiffiniy, Zak, Fight for the Future!
click here to sign the petition.
The Hollywood lobby sure knows how to make everyday people from all walks of life hate them. Free speech advocates, such as myself, need to keep them honest and the best way to do that is with an uncensored internet. An uncensored internet is a threat to the PTB and they know it. To preserve freedom I will sign a lot of petitions so one more won't hurt. Sign today.

Hollywood lobby to get SOPA like legislation passed
From Demand Progress:
Tell Obama And Dodd: No Backroom Dealing, No New SOPA
They still just don't get it. Chris Dodd -- the head of the Hollywood Lobby -- is bragging that he's working on a new insider deal to push through SOPA-like legislation.
He had this exchange with the Hollywood Reporter this week:
THR: Are there conversations going on now?
Dodd: I'm confident that's the case, but I'm not going to go into more detail because obviously if I do, it becomes counterproductive.
THR: Did you feel personally blindsided by Obama over SOPA?
Dodd: I'm not going to revisit the events of last winter. I'll only say to you that I'm confident he's using his good relationships in both communities to do exactly what you and I have been talking about.
This exchange comes days after the White House issued a report that urges a redoubling of efforts to crack down on piracy.
Hollywood and Obama should've learned: No form of censorship will be acceptable to Internet users, and we're fed up with corrupt, back-room deals that are driven by the rich and well-connected. Any major Internet policy changes should be negotiated in the light of day, so the millions of people who'd be affected can have their say too.
Please tell President Obama to reject Hollywood's backroom deals -- just add your name at right.
TO PRESIDENT OBAMA AND CHRIS DODD: After the biggest outpouring of activism in the history of the Internet, it's appalling that Hollywood is back to its old insider ways. No backroom deals -- and no new SOPA. And any and all negotiations with Hollywood should take place in the light of day.
Wow,these idiots just don't get it. We don't want their censorship pushed on us. You would think that after they got shellacked for sponsoring SOPA they would learn their lesson but no they want to go through this again. If we have to stand up to them again it is not a problem because the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.Preserve your liberty sign the petition today.

FBI abuses the rights of the people
To Eric Holder: Stop Lying About The PATRIOT Act
Senators Ron Wyden and Mark Udall have been blowing the whistle: Law enforcement is using a secret interpretation of the PATRIOT Act to spy on people who aren't connected with terrorism. The FBI operates under a cloak of secrecy, so we only know about this because these two courageous senators are defying the intelligence agencies and speaking out. Here's the New York Times:
Mr. Wyden and Mr. Udall have for months been raising concerns that the government has secretly interpreted a part of the Patriot Act in a way that they portray as twisted, allowing the Federal Bureau of Investigation to conduct some kind of unspecified domestic surveillance that they say does not dovetail with a plain reading of the statute.
Wyden and Udall deserve our support. They just wrote a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder demanding that he come clean -- will you sign on at right to join them?
PETITION TO ATTORNEY GENERAL ERIC HOLDER: Stop misleading the public. We stand with Senators Wyden and Udall and demand that you come clean about how you're using the PATRTIOT Act
click here to sign the petition.
Looks like the Patriot Act is being misused and in the interests of freedom we have to call them on it. The FBI is not the SS nor are they the KGB so they don't need to act that way. This is a democratic republic where the rights of the people are safeguarded. Time for us to exercise ours.

A thank you and a petition from SAVE
The following is from SAVE:
Over the last few months we have called upon all of you to help us reform domestic violence law, specifically the federal Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), S.1925. We have asked you to make phone calls, send emails and sign petitions. And you haven't let us down. Thank you so much!
Today, we'd also like to recognize our volunteers.
We are honored to work with members of the Domestic Violence Legislative Project (DVLP), Campaign 2012, and the Countering Abuse Misinformation Project (CAMP).
Meet two of our volunteers:
DVLP member Relda Copning shared her son's tragic story with the women of WAVE. She also called every senator to talk about VAWA. Sign Relda's petition on false allegations of domestic violence: click here
CAMP member Gordon E. Finley, Ph.D. wrote a letter about VAWA to Washington DC's The Hill. His letter "Time to Sunset Violence Against Women Act" was published on March 27: click here
This is just an example of the dedication that you can find across the country for domestic violence law reform.
Thank you all. You are the best!
Sincerely,
Teri

It's time to take another swipe at VAWA. We need to oppose this at every turn to get the message out that falsely accused men aren't going to take it anymore, that we are going to fight back and the best way to do that is to sign this petition.
